Major Episode Update + Some News About Episode 4
As usual, we haven't been sitting around between episodes and have continued gradually improving the game. Some of these changes were added a while ago, while others are brand new, so we decided to put everything together in one big post.
Here's what's changed since the release of Episode 3:
The Nightmare Is Now a Full-Fledged Horror Sequence
We removed the boring corridor from the nightmare and replaced it with a full-fledged horror sequence.
Chances are not everyone will make it through alive, but we still hope you'll manage to get Lida out of the maze without letting her get eaten.

Major Rework of the House Party Scene
The scene is now bigger, livelier and, at least in our opinion, noticeably more epic: more events, more interactions and more branching paths.
So this time, instead of just showing up at the party and throwing up, you can actually cut loose and cause some real chaos.
Movie Theater Update
We updated all the movies shown during the theater scene to make things more interesting. Now we're actually a little worried that players might end up paying more attention to them than to the dialogue.
We also removed the acrobatic vampires, since the reference turned out to be way too niche and almost nobody picked that option. They've now been replaced by the Japanese horror movie “GRUDGEBOUND”.
Other Changes:
- Updated Lida's, Lekha's and Yulia's rooms and added a few new objects to inspect.
- Improved the car controls, including handling, acceleration and braking.
- Reworked the interview background and added a few lightly interactive elements.
- Completely replaced the phone-in-hand sprites throughout the game.
- Fixed a major choice-related bug during the car return sequence in Episode 3.
- Updated a large number of backgrounds.
- Added an animated Mark behind the counter in the coffee shop.
- Replaced the sprites for Natalya Sergeyevna and the child in the nightmare.
- Replaced the dinosaur conversation with one about Warhammer.
- Added a small amount of crowd voice-over as a test.
- Fixed several spelling mistakes and a couple of minor sprite bugs.
Episode 4
Despite all of this, work on Episode 4 hasn't stopped for a single day.
Several scenes are already completely finished, while the remaining key sections are gradually coming together into a full episode.
For now, we're aiming for a release around New Year's.
And one more important piece of news.
There's a very good chance that Episode 4 will be the final episode.
So right now, we don't just want to finish it as quickly as possible. We want to bring the whole story to a proper conclusion and try to make the final episode the most packed one yet.
In the meantime, you can replay the previous episodes — there's enough new stuff in them now to hopefully surprise you here and there.
