We had a dream: to release a remaster of City of Abandoned Ships.
Actually, scratch that. The dream was to make a game of our own. Seven months ago, that dream came true.
Since then, we’ve released two major patches, two story DLCs, and dozens of fixes.
In many ways, we’re only now coming out of launch mode. The biggest launch fires are out, and ReCon Team has welcomed new people aboard. Now it’s time to decide what comes next — and how long we can keep working on the game.
Right now, the future is uncertain. All we know for sure is what we’d like to do.
We’d love to spend another year or two working on Age of Pirates and follow a similar path to Caribbean Legend, which started as a remaster and is now gearing up for its major 2.0 update. But first, we need to understand what you want from the game and whether the project can get enough support to sustain that work.

Many of our negative reviews were deserved. But it takes three positive reviews to offset each negative one. Our rating is hovering between yellow and blue, and that makes it hard to plan another year or two of development. If you like the game and the direction it’s heading in, your review would really help right now.
