Greetings, Monster Slayers (and Nerdook fans)!
Great news: a HUGE update for Monster Slayers is now available for FREE (1.5.5). A list of the big changes:
- Added localization support for 7 additional languages: French, Italian, German, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese and Korean. It's a full translation of everything in the game: all the cards, interface, enemies, upgrades and abilities! Even the Codex has been translated. It took a while to put everything into their respective localization files, but after that big effort it should be easier to update any changes in the future.
- The Companion and Altar systems have been reworked. Since this is predominantly a card game, I felt these parts of the game should reflect that. Therefore, all Companions now modify your base deck in different ways instead of giving a recharging ability button, and instead of Blessings and Curses, the Altars now offer various powerful Eldritch cards, each based thematically on one of the Seven Deadly Sins.
- Brand new cards and reworked existing ones: a new category of cards has been added called Afflictions, which includes the old Penance/Frozen cards but also the new Fatigue cards. Some powerful cards (including Powerstrike) now put a Fatigue card into your own deck, but there are new ways to manipulate them as well.
- New artwork! I added higher resolution images for many of the existing cards, and also redrew and reanimated the existing monsters. These include new additions like the Rat Warriors, and redesigns for the Dragons and Golems.
There are a bunch more changes (too many to list here), so I hope you'll take the time to revisit Monster Slayers and have fun conquering the monsters in the Northern Valley once more!
