Your oil empire is growing, but there’s still more to do, discover, and work toward! We’re preparing update 1.1.0 for Black Gold: Oil Drilling Simulator, with new challenges, additional activities, and improvements to everyday life in the oil fields.
Here’s a look at what we have planned!
🏘️ New challenges beyond the pipeline
Completing the pipeline is a major milestone, but it doesn’t have to be the end of your story. We’re expanding the late game with new quests and opportunities to grow your influence in town. Your hard-earned fortune will give you something new to work toward as your ambitions reach beyond the oil fields, and you begin taking over the town. Without giving everything away just yet, expect new goals that put your established business to use. Building a successful oil operation is one thing; deciding what to do with all that wealth is another!
🚁 More Lumberjack Drones
Keeping up with the growing demand for wood can be a challenge as your operation expands. Update 1.1.0 will add additional drones to the Lumberjack, allowing it to transport more wood and keep your production supplied more efficiently.

🎲 Random events in the oil fields
Not every day in the oil business should feel the same! We’re introducing random events with positive, negative, or neutral outcomes. Sometimes, circumstances will work in your favor. Other times, you’ll have an unexpected setback to deal with, and not every event will leave you richer or poorer. These events will bring more variety to your daily routine, adding a little uncertainty even when you think you’ve got everything under control.

🔎 More reasons to explore the town
There’s more to town than your next business deal. We’re adding new things to find, including useful resources.
Take a detour from your usual route and have a look around. A little exploration could help your business or give you something to make your home feel more like your own.
🖥️ UI fixes and improvements
Alongside the new content, we’re working on several interface fixes and refinements to make everyday interactions clearer and more convenient. Not every improvement needs to be a major new feature. We’re also paying attention to the smaller details you encounter while managing your oil empire.
We’re also looking into adding a small drivable vehicle to help you get around. This feature is still being evaluated and is not yet confirmed for version 1.1.0.
