A new Serious Sam: Shatterverse update is here!
This time around, we’ve focused heavily on making the early game smoother and getting you to the fun stuff faster. Difficulty now starts lower and ramps up more naturally, enemies and Elites have received some health adjustments, 2-player scaling has been eased up, and progression through the arsenal should feel much quicker.
The team has also made weapon drops more diverse, increased Catalyst Orb drops, lowered Armory prices, and made every Weapon and Intel available as a possible pre-boss shop purchase, even before you’ve unlocked it permanently.
And because sometimes you just need a really big gun from the beginning: The Sniper Rifle is now unlocked by default!
On top of that, there’s a fix for a potential network crash, fewer repeated dialogue lines, Rogue Netricsa adjustments, Health drops from Elites, and more.

Gameplay & Balance
Reworked the starting difficulty of Mental and Shatterverse for a smoother difficulty curve. Runs now start easier and ramp up faster, while still reaching the same maximum difficulty.
Reduced the health of enemies, Elites, and bosses on Serious difficulty, making the first run more approachable and helping players unlock content faster.
Reduced Elite HP scaling to make Elites less bullet-spongy.
Reduced difficulty scaling when playing with 2 players.
Added Health drops to Elites.
Increased Rogue Netricsa's timer and extended her explosion animation, giving players a more generous final chance to take her down before she explodes.
Weapons & Progression
Rebalanced weapon type drops so random loot offers more variety.
Weapons can now appear earlier during a run.
Reduced the Catalyst Orb cost of weapons in the Armory.
Increased both the chance and amount of Catalyst Orbs dropped by regular enemies across all Acts.
The Sniper Rifle is now unlocked by default.
All Weapons and Intel can now appear in the pre-boss shop regardless of Armory unlocks, giving players a chance to try them before permanently unlocking them for future runs.
Fixes & Quality of Life
Fixed an issue that could cause a network crash.
Reduced the frequency of several dialogue lines.
