A lot of performance and memory improvements!
Performance
- Fixed multi-second freezes after every build or bulldoze on big maps with busy station throats (Rotterdam Port)
- Fixed heavy stutter while a maintenance route waits for a free service loco
- Fixed stutter from a train waiting to enter a shunting group
Memory
- Loading another map no longer keeps the previous map in memory
- Memory no longer grows during long sessions (train animations, Happy Passengers travel log, incident markers, menu screenshots)
Waypoints
- Waypoints are now optional: a train that reaches its next station without passing a waypoint continues normally instead of jamming its schedule
- Custom Endless map with a waypoint no longer crashes at first start
- Waypoints in a Rush Hour contract no longer freeze the wave flow or break the save
Multiplayer
- Signal routes no longer drift apart between host and clients after building
- Building in multiplayer no longer freezes all players for seconds
Interface
- Fixed the frame rate dropping for the rest of the session after using the next-due button in the Contracts panel on a contract with no upcoming service. The button is now greyed out when there is nothing to show.
- The train bottom bar no longer gets stuck showing leftover placeholder elements after that click.
Main menu
- The map list no longer comes up empty when a mod.io session has expired. Official and Steam Workshop maps stay listed, and only the mod.io maps are missing until you sign in again.
