The name of the version is "Shining star" because the new character relates to the shining secret purple stars you can find sometimes! and the version is 1.5000 (instead or a regular 1.5) because weve reached 5000 copies sold!! that's INSANE !!! Here's an art I made to celebrate that, featuring the two biggest fan favorites. Thank you for giving this game a chance!!
BIG NOTABLE THINGS TO TALK ABOUT:
As a continuation of the sequence of updates, this time Nin, the cheat code bird, is finally being added as a playable character! But this time, the way to get the character is totally a secret! I'm not telling anyone how to get 'em. Because this character's achievement was already tied to you inputting a cheatcode for the first time, I won't even lie, I forgot to add one for Nin joining your team. That will be done in another update later maybe.
Also, this update also somewhat helps with the boredom of recruiting Zellius, since that character appears way earlier now in the sewers (2nd area) instead of the mansion (3rd area). his also means it is possible now to recruit Zellius and still be able to go back and open all the chests right after!
I also decided to remove the equip "Bandanna" from the game, at least during your first run (once you've beaten the game once, it becomes available again). The bandanna was a completely BUSTED equipment that allowed players to spam ultimate attacks on the first turn, ignoring the intended flow of slowly getting fires. The reason why it becomes available after 1 clear is speedruns! (I even left it in th exact same spot!) I've noticed that a handful already exist, and I thought it would suck if these became invalid because the item isn't available anymore.
That same kind of philosophy can be found across the board for all changes here. Moves/equips strong enough to make the game a complete joke, or mechanics annoying enough to be frustrating were changed. Or at least the ones I noticed or that people told me about.
And of course a few cute details that the game definetly didn't need even more of, but this game is my child and I love my child and I will add even more cute but needless details to my child.
NEW THINGS:
NIN, playable character.
The item "Stereo" you get from Ronaldo's chest is an actual usable item now.
The equip "Straight Jacket" now appears in the building (1st area).
BATTLE FIXES/CHANGES
Jennyfer's skill "Ultraslash" now functions just like "Bullet rain" (hits 3 times randomly).
Jennyfer's skills from "Omegachip" were reworked to reflect the new "Ultraslash".
EGO's skills mirror Jennyfer's, so these had to be updated as well.
EGO and Bella Donna now have 31HP (because Jennyfer does).
Abel's skill from "Hand of GOD" had the wrong description.
Abel's skill "Nullpoint Negation" now maintains during bosse's multiple forms (except hard mode).
Intel's "Omegachip" skill should be single target but instead revived THE WHOLE TEAM.
Intel's "Salvation" now costs 1 less.
Karin's "ULTIMATE OMEGA PUNCH" description was wrong.
Ray Ray's "LOVE LOVE LIQUID" skill now heals for half as much (it was basically full health).
Bo's "Bob 'n' weave" now costs zero.
Bo had a massive +6 blue attack buff.
Urabe had a massive +6 yellow attack buff.
If Urabe dies by using the skill "Double Down", you can get the achievement "GOD DAMNIT".
The equipment "Bandanna" now only appears after you beat the game once.
The skeleton enemy "Adam" now does all attacks at once (it's so faster now!).
The flamethrowing enemy "Hecate" had one more zero on the damage value. It was TOO high.
The plant enemy "Murdanna" now does not randomly heals herself for +9999 anymore lol.
Pushover's permanent debuff skill had the old description before the lolwtf overhaul, oops.
Pushover, Bastard, Fucker, and Bastard now can't equip anything anymore forever (so useless!).
Penn Pall now gives way less Love and Care. It was too much, you don't need it, hoarders.
On ending 02, Bella Donna's "LITTLE PRECIOUS" healed too little.
The secret equipment "RAW ANGER" was nerfed.
OTHER FIXES/CHANGES
Character menu portraits were updated, and they show if a character is blue/yellow/white.
Save-chan now also appears in the first room of the game.
Every time you get an item/equip, the game explains if it is an item or equip.
Every time rXcca or Karin generate a key item, you will know it's a key item.
The internet history funny bit was slightly reordered and is slightly bigger now.
In Joshua's race, the slowdown from running over grass is way less punishing.
In Joshua's race, there are a few planks o'wood over grass, that you can run over,
Joshua's super ultimate attack move now is slightly longer with an explosion in the end.
In the "All Playables" room, now Jennyfer explains that you can't just leave the area.
Zellius now appears in the sewers (2nd area) instead of the mansion (3rd area).
Now NIN says "write this down" when giving you a cheatcode.
When revisiting the building (last area), the stage song is slightly delayed (so dramatic).
A few typos were too confusing, so I changed them into different typos lol.
Characters Key, Sock, and Bottle, now have new icons for their skills.
When dying in the "phone game AD" section, it was possible to go out of bounds.
Ending 04 lines for all characters before they leave were slightly rearranged (dramatic!!).
Ending 04 did NOT have lines for all characters before they leave. Now it does.
Ending 04 now changes all Jennyfer skills. It does nothing but it's kinda cool.
