Hi players! We’ve deployed Update 1.0.4, which brings major optimization improvements, map and UI overhauls, audio redesigns, and critical fixes for charms and progression.
Optimization, Audio & VFX
• Performance: Implemented general optimization passes to improve overall stability and frame rate smoothness.
• Audio & Visual Polishing: Upgraded and refined visual effects (VFX) and sound effects (SFX) across multiple locations and for specific enemy types.
• Chapter 3 Bosses: Completely reworked the combat music tracks for Chapter 3 boss fights to enhance the atmosphere.
• Time Trials: Reworked the audio design during the speed-platforming sections in the Dead Wastes to improve gameplay pacing and audio cues.
Map & User Interface (UI)
• Map Readability: Improved map navigation by making different locations color-coded for better visual distinction.
• Death Marker: The map now displays a dedicated marker showing the exact location of souls lost upon death.
• Fast Travel: When opening the fast travel menu, the selection cursor now automatically snaps to your current save point.
Charms, Quests & Bosses
• Charm “Chains of the Apostate”: Fixed a cross-save bug where the charm's effect bled through into other slots. If the chains were equipped in one save file, their effect will no longer incorrectly persist when switching to another slot or starting a New Game.
• Charm “Guardian Sister”: Fixed a bug where changing forms from human to Volkolak and subsequently dying could cause the charm's resurrection effect to spawn the player out of bounds.
• Dark Spirit: Fixed an issue where the Dark Spirit's boss HP bar could disappear under certain circumstances.
• Leshy's Quest: Added subtle visual guiding effects to highlight active interaction nodes for Leshy's forest restoration quest.
• The Forge: Added a new save point directly to the Forge location.
