We just released a patch with some tweaks, fixes and a save game backups rework. Also, scroll down to get a brand new development leak.
Save game backups
After last update some of you experienced save games wipeouts which sucks big time. We couldn't track exact cause of this, but we made saving a bit more robust and reworked backups system:
We added Last saves backup folder that will contain your last 10 saves.
Saves that couldn't be loaded for some reason will be put to Corrupted saves backup folder.
You can access saves at %userprofile%\\AppData\\LocalLow\\FUMES team\\FUMES\\Saves
To restore the save put it in the main save folder and rename it to FUMES_SAVE_SLOT0_VER4.save
If you lost your save and you would like us to recreate one with similar progress let us know!
Gate Run improvements
Gate Run got some love, we added boards with directions to reduce frustration, adjusted race length and checkpoints appearance got refreshed.
Also, we tweaked wheel grip at low speeds to improve cornering.

Here are some sneak peeks:
Death rally
it's kind of like rally on roads, but with a ticking bomb sticked to your car that will reset the timer with every checkpoint. Each stage is procedurally generated and prioritizes mountain roads for those steep cliffs and juicy hairpins.
Also, we are experimenting with a variant of this activity with cargo and pirates, but we need to prototype more to find fun there.
Abandoned race track
For now, you'll be able to approach it in free roam and it let's you compete against your best time. There are no opponents driving on it, because their code is too dumb to let them drive on such twisted track. We are also looking into incorporating friend based leaderboards, but no promises yet!
Anyway, we are still experimenting with all of this.

A new car is being cooked
We are not sure when this update will drop yet, we want to make it as fun to play as we can first. In the meantime we are also addressing CO-OP issues, so fixes will keep coming with next patches and updates.
