New Hero Abilities
The Squire, Huntress, and Apprentice have each received a new ability to replace Heal. These abilities are designed around each Hero's strengths and give them a new tool to use in combat.
Squire - Wounded Pride: The Squire heals himself and gains a damage boost based on how low his health was when the ability was cast. The closer he is to defeat, the bigger the payoff.
Huntress - Adrenaline Rush: The Huntress enters a heightened state, gaining increased damage, movement speed, and jump height while healing over time.
Apprentice - Overcharge: The Apprentice empowers his attacks, causing each hit to deal increased damage while also healing him and restoring Mana.
New Shards
Overcharge Power: Increases Overcharge's damage boost by X%.
Second Wind: Adrenaline Rush restores X% of your Mana per second for 8 seconds.
Salt in the Wound: Increases the Hero Damage boost from Wounded Pride by X%.
Blood Money: While Wounded Pride is active, each enemy you kill restores X% of your Mana.
DirectX 11 support
DD2 now supports DX11! In our testing, DX11 gave a 1.2x to 1.5x FPS increase, how much you gain depends on your hardware and on what's happening on screen.
DX9 is still supported and stays the default for now, so switching over is completely optional. You can enable DX11 by launching the game using the "Dungeon Defenders II (DirectX 11)" option.
