Crafty Survivors: Wicked Winter is OUT NOW! The 1st DLC bringing brand new content for the game and the update 1.2 with more content to the base game.
2 Brand New Characters
Ranchel, the Rancher! And her best companion, Doglas.
Ranchel is available from the start. She found a distress signal over on a new area and urges the villagers to help her save the person there.
Ranchel uses her animal companions to aid in battle through her various skills, and collects their products to increase the fighting capabilities of the group. She lacks a regular basic attack and relies on Doglas to deal the damage in her stead, while controlling his position. I won't spoil all details! Players will find out more about her and her potential in-game!
Toya, the Toymake! And her incredible puppet, T.O.Y.A.
Toya is somewhere in the new area, the Snowy Peaks. She needs to be found first, before being available.
Toya cannot fight on her own, so players control the puppet T.O.Y.A. instead. T.O.Y.A. has a mechanic tied to her Wind Up Bar and gets stronger with more wind ups, dealing extra damage and even moving faster. However, the opposite needs to be considered: a low Wind Up Bar makes T.O.Y.A. weaker! Controlling this mechanic is key to success. There are multiple ways to manipulate the Wind Up Bar, so remember to choose the one that fits your play style.
New Area - Snowy Peaks
A brand new area is found beyond the Mountain map. The Snowy Peaks is separated in 2 zones with different visuals, as shown on the videos above. The enemies are all themed around a certain holiday as well, to keep all the battlefield thematic! The area should Auto Unlock for players who completed 100% of the Mountain area or defeated the Croaking Peak boss.
This also brings new field events, which have the unique Wicked Winter Pets included. More on the Pet System on the Patch Notes of version 1.2 below.
New Stage Type - Defend the Objective
A completely new stage type appears on the Snowy Peaks region! Defensive Stages!
In this stage, players need to protect the Objective in the middle in order to complete the stage. Enemies behave differently in these special situations, which require a new approach to the challenge.
Different characters will have different ways to handle the waves of the Defensive Stage! So try different combinations for success!
Version 1.2 for the Base Game is also available.
Patch Notes - 1.2
Pet System
- Players can gather Tokens from various field event enemies in each area of the game;
- Each available companion has 3 different colours based on the rarity of the token: bronze, silver and gold. Rarity is only a colour scheme difference, so there's no advantage on having a higher rarity and no necessity to farm high rarity Tokens (unless you desire the colour);
- Each character can take 1 Pet to the battlefield with them to assist in battle, so find your perfect combination;
- Pets range from damage dealers to buffers and debuffers.
Bug Fixes
- Added a check for players that may have not acquired special items from opening World Chests due to unknown issues;
- Some general bug fixes with Rodrigo and some Elixirs;
- Fixed navigation with the controller on the Smithing and Weaving Systems;
- Fixed a bug on Dungeons and Overgrown Lizards Challenge (1 and 2) that could cause the enemy count to have an issue and never progress to the next boss;
- Adjusted the Cleric's shield to have a duration (in case it locks into an enemy that dies at the same time, making it impossible to clear the shield);
- Fixed an issue that a unique material could be chosen as an extra option on a Level Up;
- Other fixes.
Removed System
- The Leaderboard has been removed from the Colosseum area, as it was not a used feature in general.
- The Colosseum is still available as an area with Endless Waves, where players can play to see how far they go if they want.
We hope everyone has a good time with the Wicked Winter and the Pet System, bringing new possibilities to Crafty Survivors!
Let's collect all Pets and conquer the Snowy Peaks!
