G'day Forts fans,
We've got some pretty lovely news to share: Forts has been selected as a finalist in the Ongoing category at the Australian Game Developer Awards 2026!
The AGDAs celebrate Australian-made games and the people behind them, so it means a lot to see Forts recognized almost a decade after launch.
A game can only stay "ongoing" if there are people around to keep playing it, making maps, creating mods, participating in tournaments, posting content, breaking things through the unbreakable, and occasionally informing us, very politely, that something is completely broken. And, somehow, through all the changes, challenges and tribulations, you lot are still finding ways to have fun with our game.
That's the part we're most proud of. So, from all of us at EWG to you:
The AGDAs ceremony will take place on 7 October 2026 in Melbourne, where the winners will be announced. Until then we're just extremely happy to be among the finalists!
