While we continue work on the next update, we’ve made a new build available on the optional public_beta branch on Steam.
This build includes further work aimed at improving game performance. Our internal testing across a range of hardware has been very encouraging, but PC performance can vary considerably between different systems, so we’d like to test the update more widely before considering a full public release.
If you’ve previously experienced poor performance in Mechanicus II, we’d particularly appreciate you trying the beta and letting us know whether you see an improvement, no meaningful change, or any new issues.
For feedback and bug reports, please use our bug report form. Where relevant, please include your CPU, GPU, resolution, graphics settings and whether you’re using DirectX 11 or DirectX 12.
To access the public beta:
Right-click Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II in your Steam Library.
Select Properties.
Open the Betas tab.
Enter mechanicus2beta into the private beta access code field and select Check Code.
Select public_beta under Beta Participation.
Steam should then automatically download the build.
To return to the current public version, select None from the same menu.
