On August 25, 2025, City Defense Z went live. One year later, this is not the game we launched.
That is because of you. Your reviews, forum posts, Discord messages, and bug reports shaped the year. We read them all. We still do.

What Changed in Year One
We started with a 10-day patch challenge, then kept going through roadmaps, major updates, and hotfixes, listening to you guys the whole way. Here is the short version of what your feedback turned into.
• New map, new units, new cards, and new traps • Bigger permanent upgrades, a market, and seasons • Faster army control, merging, and building flow • Rebalanced pacing, economy, food, and expeditions • Hand-drawn NPCs, a full UI rewrite, and clearer tutorials • Steam Deck verification, controller support, and performance work • Audio, cinematics, localization, achievements, and hundreds of fixes
We Are Still Here
We are a small team, and we are still answering every review and every forum post. That has not changed in a year, and it will not change now.
If you bounced at launch, the game is in a very different place. If something still feels off, tell us. We are still listening.
