Hey everyone, it's time for the monthly update.
Thanks to all your reports and feedback, we've decided to focus this month's update on bug fixes and improvements rather than new features. We hear you, and it's clear that you would prefer a smoother, more polished experience instead of seeing new content every month.

🛠️ September Update: Bug Fixes & Improvements
Performance: Fixed an FPS leak when using UI forms. This should reduce minor stutters and improve overall performance.
Performance: Improvements for longer game sessions.
Weapon Handling: Refined the angles for aiming guns and holding melee weapons to make them feel more natural and comfortable. If you've already made any adjustments in Controls Settings, we recommend resetting them to default 0:0:0 positions and try the new angles to see how they feel.
Weapon Handling: SMGs and rifles now remain comfortable to move and reload with one hand when held by the charging handle/slider.
Melee Weapon Grabbing: Fixed inverted grab positions. Weapons can now be held in reverse from their interaction points, while adaptive grabbing still allows you to grab them from any part.
Holsters: Weapons pierced into enemies will no longer automatically return to a holster when released — they'll stay inside the enemy instead.
Holsters: Show/Hide option for holsters now works fine.
Enemy Bodies: Fixed an issue where dead enemies could awkwardly shake their heads or other limbs. They now remain still after dying. We'll keep an eye on how this fix performs and make further improvements if needed.
Enemy Physics: Fixed an issue where shooting armored enemies could cause them to spin in place.
Object Spawner: Some destructible objects went missing after the last update — brought them back!
Object Spawner: Added two new destructible bottles.
Object Spawner: Fixed an issue where attached laser sights made some weapons difficult to spawn in locations.
UI: Fixed incorrect positioning of the Location label on the RIDE screen.
UI: Fixed the Mark 16 label appearing in incorrect places.
Zipline: Reduced excessive zipline speed in the Hangar Mansion preset.
Zipline: Fixed the riding sound that continued to play after leaving the zipline.
Zero-G: Fixed incorrectly positioned text.
Zero-G: Fixed incorrect field box colors in some locations.
Lighting: Fixed black columns appearing in the Atrium arena.
UI Pointer: Slightly adjusted the in-game pointer for more convenient interaction.
Sounds: Fixed the Grinder Wheel continuing to play the same sound after interacting with objects.
Sounds: Added silenced gunshot sounds for the Gal and Muller 5.
Muller PL: Removed an invisible laser sight in City Mode.
Lucky 7: Added force feedback (controller vibration) when interacting with the shotgun and added missing sounds.
Hotfix from 4th of September:
Bullet Holes: Fixed some surfaces missing bullet holes from gunshots, including containers and concrete walls.
Helipad Arena: Fixed missing Waves/Survival launch UI in Sandbox Mode.
Game Launcher: Removed the outdated launcher shown before the game starts, which included options that are no longer used.
🛠️ Regarding Launch Issues & Crashes
We have noticed that some of our players are experiencing issues when launching the game, as well as annoying FPS and crash-related issues during gameplay. We are constantly monitoring and trying to reproduce these issues to find the root cause, but apparently, they are not always caused by the build itself.
Some of our players have been able to solve their issues by configuring their XR settings. This was mainly due to a configuration mismatch. Please check out the post below and let us know if it helps solve your issues.
🔗Regarding SteamVR Quest Streaming Configuration
Try removing mods. Most mods are incompatible with the current version of Hard Bullet, which could result in crashes and general performance issues.
But that does not mean we are not looking into the performance & crashing reports - we are doing everything we can on our side!
