Hi folks, today I've got a status update a lot of you will be happy to hear.
The Old Flesh Of Nuraga has been out for a week, and several of you reported a bug where, if you stopped playing and came back later, grandpa would forget every conversation you'd had up to that point and talk to you as if you'd just started the game. From there, you'd only find shards and couldn't continue the game.
We were hoping grandpa would be a bit of a forgetful old man, but this was taking it a little too far, so I went digging. I tried to figure out why everything else was saving correctly, dug through the save system, went through the logs you kindly sent us, but nothing.
Then, I finally found it, and the solution was so stupid it made my brain fart.
The dialogue saves are stored in "AppData\\Roaming\\Studio Ortica\\The Old Flesh Of Nuraga\\dialogic\\saves\\Default", so something had to be wrong there, and well, take a look at what was going on with the Steam Cloud path:

My dumb ass made a typo and wrote "Default" with a lowercase "d", so every time you closed and reopened the game, Steam Cloud quietly overwrote your save using a path that never actually matched the real one.
If you're a game dev looking for inspiration, look no further: I've been making games for about 10 years and this kind of shit still gets me.
This has now been fixed, so you can play safely from here on. If your save was already affected, you'll unfortunately need to start again. To make that less painful, you can set "--dev-console" as a Steam launch option, go to the main menu, press "~" ("ò" on Italian keyboards) to open the console, and type "sp_completed 1" to unlock every chapter, then jump straight back to the one closest to where you left off.
Thank you all for your patience and for helping us track this down.
Nicola
