Patch Notes for Kristala Version 1.2.4
The following is a list of patch notes and bug fixes for Kristala Version 1.2.4
Patch Update – UI Improvements, Gameplay Fixes, and Localization Updates Now Live (v1.2.4)
This update introduces additional fixes and quality-of-life improvements focused on menu functionality, quest navigation, Echo progression, traversal, input customization, and overall gameplay stability. It also includes localization improvements, level design polish, and fixes for several gameplay and presentation issues as we continue refining the overall player experience.
UI, Menu & Quest Improvements
Fixed an issue in the Preparation Menu where Echo icons would not properly update when changing Loadouts.
Fixed an issue in the Quest Menu that could prevent players from changing Quest Tabs when no Main Quests remained.
The Quest Menu now automatically opens to the first tab containing available quests, following this order: Main Quests → Side Quests → All Quests.
Fixed an issue in the Transmogrification Menu that could prevent players from navigating the item grid.
Fixed an issue where Item Details in the Equipment Menu would not properly switch when the player did not have an item equipped in the selected slot.
Movement keys can now be remapped when using keyboard controls.
Echo System Fixes
Fixed an issue where purchasing another copy of an Echo could cause all existing copies of that Echo to reset to Level 1.
Gameplay, Combat & Traversal Fixes
Ghost Felines now help guide players through specific locations within the tutorial area.
Fixed an issue where completing a Vault onto a rope could prevent the player from jumping correctly.
Fixed an issue that could sometimes break player movement when using Unstuck during a Wall Jump.
Fixed an issue where grounded spells would not function correctly in certain areas of the Catacombs.
Fixed an issue where quitting the game while teleporting with Crystals could cause the player to load into an incorrect location.
Cursed Realm Fixes
Fixed an issue where the camera could be positioned incorrectly during the Close Rift animation if the player interacted with the portal while attacking.
Cutscene, Journal & Presentation Fixes
Fixed an issue where the camera could be positioned incorrectly when a cutscene began while the player was crouched.
Fixed an issue where Journals could display unintended formatting text, such as bug text here.
Fixed an issue where Bird's Report 4 did not display the correct information.
Corrected the Reaping Winds video preview.
World & Level Design Improvements
Blocked several unintended progression skips throughout the game.
Fixed an unintended progression skip in the Fire Village.
Added general visual improvements throughout the game.
Localization Improvements
Reviewed and corrected 850 strings across French and Hungarian localization.
Fixed an issue where player Magic Stats could fail to initialize correctly when Chinese was selected as the game language.
