Dear Sect Masters, long time no see!
It has been a long time since our last update. We know that many Sect Masters have been worried that we might have abandoned the game and disappeared, but rest assured: we have not given up on The Lost Village.
During this time, most of the studio's efforts have been focused on our new project, Sect Origins. The number of bugs in the project exceeded our expectations, and since our studio consists of only a handful of people, we have been extremely short-staffed. Meanwhile, The Lost Village was originally developed using Unreal Engine 4.26, while the latest version of the engine has now reached Unreal Engine 5.8. Upgrading across several major engine versions brought many problems we had not anticipated. On top of that, much of the early code was painstakingly written line by line, and the original programmer, whose hair was growing thinner by the day, has since gone home to look after his child. This has made many legacy issues particularly difficult to investigate, which is why this update has taken so long.
This is not a large update and mainly focuses on fixes and improvements. We would also like to hear what content everyone is most looking forward to. If you are still encountering bugs or have any suggestions for the game, please let us know in the Discussions. We will continue improving the game as much as circumstances allow. We will also step up development of previously promised content, including the weather system.

【New Content】
Added an “Auto Upgrade” option to the Trial Tower. When enabled, the system will automatically select upgrade effects.
【Bug Fixes】
Fixed an issue that caused Spirit Sword Art to display incorrectly.
Fixed an issue that caused the Sect Support UI to display incorrectly.
Fixed an issue where extended runs in the Immortal-Demon Tower’s Endless Mode could cause the game to crash.
【Improvements】
Removed some obstacles from Sect War maps to reduce cases where characters became obstructed while moving.
New games now begin with bonus Qi Elixirs.
Improved the visual effects of the following 12 skills: Moon Attack, Moon Surround, Moon Fury, Core-fire, Revival, Destroy, Flying Sword, Dawnbreak, Purify, Screaming, Boneyard, and Skyfall Sword.
Made balance adjustments to several skills:
Xu Mirror (Cooldown: 30 seconds)
Party healing: 2% HP → 18% HP
Nan-Shi (Cooldown: 24 seconds)
Summons 5 Dust Swords that descend from above, dealing spell damage to enemies within a medium area around the caster.
Damage per sword: 40% DEF → 300% DEF
Tian-Ji (Cooldown: 15 seconds)
Casts a spell that deals spell damage 5 times to enemies within a small area in front of the caster.
Damage per hit: 40% ATK → 60% ATK
Heavy Sword (Cooldown: 40 seconds)
Casts a spell that unleashes a giant sword, dealing spell damage to enemies within a medium area in front of the caster.
Skill damage: 220% ATK → 280% ATK
Mystic Orb (Cooldown: 30 seconds)
Releases 8 Mystic Orbs that pursue their target, each dealing spell damage.
Damage per orb: 10% ATK → 30% ATK
Dust Sword
When taking damage, has a chance to release 3 Dust Swords, dealing spell damage to enemies within a medium area around the wielder.
Trigger chance: 10% → 20%
Damage per sword: 40% DEF → 75% DEF
Mantra
When taking damage, has a chance to apply 1 stack of 【Exhausted】 to enemies within a small area around the wielder.
Trigger chance: 20% → 50%
Attack Speed reduction: -2 per stack → -5 per stack
Duration: 5 seconds → 10 seconds
Maximum stacks: 10 → 20
Growth
When taking damage, has a chance to restore the wielder's HP. The amount restored has been changed from a fixed value to a percentage of HP.
Trigger chance: 20% → 30%
HP restored: Fixed 4 points → 1% HP
After this adjustment, the effect will no longer gradually lose its usefulness as the character's Stage increases.
Improved the models of more than 90 buildings, including Celestial Hall, Enclave, Reception, Mill, and Gazebo, making them more detailed while reducing resource usage.
