Introducing The Froggy

Drivers, today we're welcoming a brand-new car to Drive Beyond Horizons: the Froggy.

Based on a legendary French car, this little beauty joins the Drive Beyond Horizons collection as a 1:1 reproduction. You can now find and rebuild it in-game, but be careful, it hides a secret!

As soon as the car reaches a 15° angle, it stays balanced on two wheels. Yes, you read that right. It's time to introduce two-wheel driving to Drive Beyond Horizons well, almost haha.

How long will it take you to complete it? Let's find out!

New Module: Autopilot

We're also introducing a brand-new module: the Autopilot.

Once activated, your car will drive itself while following the road. This module is primarily aimed at content creators who want to take a break from the gameplay to talk to their audience, but it can also be useful for anyone who needs a quick break to pee — just avoid doing it DBH style, aim well.

The module can be found in the world and attached to the roof of your car. Once activated with B, the car locks itself to a set speed and slows down when approaching corners. Think of it as very defensive driving.

For the more adventurous drivers, however, there's also a "Good Luck" mode. It lets you go faster, but you'll be on your own — poles and bumpers are still your worst enemies hahaha. Yes, it makes me laugh a lot.

Steam Community

We saw your messages, and we understand that some of you would rather stay on Steam without joining us on Discord or Reddit.

We'd love to offer you the same experience here, but Steam currently lacks some of the tools that make this easier (such as voting systems, flexible Markdown, easy file sharing...).

Still, we can at least make sure you have access to the same information as our players on Discord and Reddit. That's why we've opened an Official News Feed.

Don't forget to follow it and check it whenever we post something new!

And we're also making it easier to contribute directly from the game.

In-Game Bug Reporting

We've developed a new way for you to report bugs directly from the game through BetaHub.

No login required. You can now report bugs quickly and easily without leaving Drive Beyond Horizons.

This is our first implementation of the system, and it may come with a few issues. The tool wasn't originally designed to work with such an old version of Unreal Engine, so if you encounter any problems while submitting a report, please let us know and provide as much detail as possible.

As always, the more information you can provide, the better. Tell us:

And whenever possible, attach screenshots or videos to your report. Visual information can make a huge difference when investigating a bug. You can check a full guide here: Report A Bug.

New Localization

We are introducing the Turkish interface in this update!

We would like to give a huge thank you to NEKIONEKI from our Discord server. They volunteered to translate the entire interface completely on their own, covering over 5,000 texts. It was a great experience, and we hope the result lives up to expectations!

For the occasion, we are also looking for volunteers for the other languages available in the game to review and verify the translations. If you are interested, please join us on Discord to apply. Several languages already have a translator, so we are mainly looking for people to help proofread and validate their work.

We will also create a post for each language on our server, where everyone can report any errors they find, making it easier for translators to review and fix them.

Wheel Support

At this moment, it is not considered to be fully supported. We need a lot of feedback from the community. If you have a steering wheel, please test it and give us some feedback on Discord!

Please, read this

The game is still in Early Access. You may encounter performance issues, bugs, or crashes. This is a normal part of development, and your feedback plays a key role in helping us improve the experience.

That said, some early technical decisions led to challenges we hadn’t fully anticipated.

As a reminder, part of the team is still actively supporting the current public and beta versions of the game, bringing updates, content, and optimizations, while another part is working in parallel on rebuilding core systems.

This includes developing a new version of the game from scratch using Unreal Engine 5.8 (or a later version). We’ll transition to this new version once it meets our quality standards. We’ll share more details about this in a dedicated update — in less than a month.
