Hello everyone,
Seiji Aoki here, Producer of the Legacy Virtua Fighter Project. Last month, I mentioned that we were working toward our next update, and I'm happy to say it's almost ready. We're putting the finishing touches on it and once we lock in the release date, we'll share it on our official website and social channels.
This update includes bug fixes based on reports we've received from players, and the addition of Arabic and Hindi language support across all platforms. It's always exciting to welcome more players into the Virtua Fighter community, and I hope players in those regions feel the same.
I've seen a lot of feedback on Discord and social media as well. So, thank you to everyone who's been sharing their thoughts with us. One thing that’s come up quite a bit is online battle settings, so we're making some adjustments there as well. Previously this was set to auto only, but we’ve now added a "Forced Relay" option. You’ll be able to select between "Auto" and "Forced Relay" depending on your individual connection environment.
We're also continuing work on bringing Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage to XBOX PC and the content and features will match the versions available on other platforms. I also want to announce that the game will be available on Game Pass starting September 10th, so please stay tuned for more information.
On the tournament side, I'd like to give a big congratulations to Mashman, who defeated fierce competition at “CEO 2026” in Orlando, Florida as part of the Virtua Fighter Open Championship 2026. It was great to watch such high-level matches throughout the weekend and another spot earned in the VF Special Event!
I'd also like to congratulate GNS | Laufares, who secured a Special Event invitation at RAGNAROK 2026 in Argentina. This event was especially meaningful because it marked our first official Virtua Fighter tournament in South America. Seeing players, organizers, and fans come together for that moment was something I'll remember for a long time.
Next up is TRETA CHAMPIONSHIP 2026 where the tournament continues to expand, this time in Brazil. One of the most exciting things about this year's Virtua Fighter Open Championship has been seeing the community continue to grow around the world. Every event introduces new players, new rivalries, and new stories, and I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next at TRETA.
As always, thank you for playing, competing, sharing feedback, and supporting Virtua Fighter.
