This one is entirely about achievements. If yours have been missing, this is the update that fixes it and you do not have to replay anything.
Fixed
- Achievements unlock on Steam again. The previous update added a check that waited for the Steam client to hand over your stats before sending anything. That data never arrived, so the game waited forever and sent nothing at all. The check is gone: an achievement now goes straight to Steam the moment you earn it.
- Achievements you have already earned are sent automatically. Every time you launch the game it pushes everything Steam has not confirmed yet, and keeps retrying in the background while the game is running. Nothing to click, nothing to redo if you earned it in game, it will turn up on your profile.
- An achievement can no longer get stuck forever. Older builds ticked an achievement off as "sent" the moment they tried, even when Steam refused it offline, or still starting up and then never tried again. The game now only ticks one off once Steam has actually confirmed it.
Known issue
- Within a series, the next achievement still only starts tracking after you claim the previous one, so a long run of them can arrive in a burst. We are working on it separately.
Thanks to everyone who posted in the thread on the forum. The reports there described the problem precisely enough to find it, and every one of them turned out to be the same bug.
