Hey Everyone
We wanted to give you all an update on progress with some of the bug reports we got after the last update a few months back, and the plan we have to tackle them. Thanks again to everyone who took the time to let us know they were running into issues especially on Steam Deck. Ironically one of the major goals for the update was to streamline performance on Steam Deck, but a lot of issues that didn’t come up in our pretty exhaustive testing are cropping up for players.
The first thing is that we’re going to roll back the public build to version 1.1.20 (the one before update 1.3.3) for the time being.
Before the last update we weren’t getting any reports of the UI soft locks on Controller/Steam Deck. Since the 1.3.3 update primarily contained performance improvements, native Playstation controller support, and various bugfixes, we’d rather have the game in a stable state for all controller users while we continue to track down what’s causing the current issues in version 1.3.3.
If you were playing the current version and had no issues, and want to keep playing on it, we will be keeping version 1.3.3 available on a public beta branch for the time being as well. (See below for a guide on how to access beta branches).
We did some internal testing to be sure, but any of your current save files should transfer between versions, so you can pick up and keep playing from wherever you left off with no issues.
Navigate to Dread Delusion in your library and click on the Gear Icon in the top right. Click on the "Properties..." button

This will open a pop up window. On the left side, click on the "Game Versions & Betas" tab.
From there you should see two branch options. After selecting the not-currently-active branch, you should see your game update.
Thanks again to everyone who let us know they were running into a problem and for your patience as we work on addressing this. We hope to be able to release a final patch for the game in the next month or so that’ll take care of the issues for everyone. As always, if you have a bug you want to report, we’ll be watching the Steam discussions, you can email us at [email protected], and we have a dedicated channel on our Discord for more complicated reports.
