This update has been a long time in the works and it may be the most impactful update I've ever done. Here's what's changed:
Steam Workshop Support!
This one is huge. You can now create your own Spells, Runes, Pickups, Enemies, Maps, Familiars and even Global Events directly in the game and publish them to Steam Workshop without any code at all. Check out the new Mod Editor in the lower left hand corner of the main menu. Below you'll find a walkthrough of the Mod Editor if you want to get started.

But that's not all! One more big announcement. The very first Spellmasons DLC:
Spellmasons: Runesmith is available now!
https://store.steampowered.com/app/4866100/Spellmasons__Runesmith/
Spellmasons: Runesmith takes spell crafting to a whole new level. In addition to combining spells, each spell can now be deeply customized with augments. Augments allow you to modify spells, making them more powerful under certain conditions or adding secondary effects. This fundamentally deepens the spell system, allowing you to specialize your wizard each run.
You can augment your arrow spells with suffocate, give your summoned minions poisonous attacks, or make a spell do more damage relative to how much health you're missing. These are just a few examples of what's now possible.
Additionally, Spellmasons: Runesmith introduces Challenge Rooms. Challenge Rooms spawn occasionally, forcing you to adapt your strategy. Rather than simply clearing the room of enemies, each Challenge Room provides a wrinkle to the rules that make passing the level more difficult.
Contents:
66 Augments
Augments include the following: increase the base power of a spell, charge up spells over time or under specific conditions, add effects to the attacks of your summoned allies, change the cost or cost-type of a spell, trigger chance effects, add Area of Effect to spells that don't usually have it, and more!
4 Challenge Room Types
- Sacrifice: You must defend an ally Totem. If it dies, you die
- Endless Spawner: Invincible enemy Totems litter the map. They spawn new enemies every turn until you clear the level
- Champion: All enemies spawn as champions; however, they are powered by Totems. Kill the totems and the enemies near them will revert to regular strength.
- Invincibility: All enemies are invincible until you destroy the Totems that bless them with invincibility
Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy all the new spellcrafting possibilities!
