Changelog
- Added debug info for hardware decode and low latency mode to video player UI
- Added setting for choosing videoplayer backend in game (Implementation -> Video Player -> Video Decoder)
- This setting only applies to video players spawned after it's changed
- Choices are AVPro (Default), VLC, Disabled (won't spawn new video players)
- Added Steam Signups username picking (will still get the 4 characters at the end)
- Added supported extension check to AvPro to skip YTDLP for containers that should work
- Changed the authentication to use the User Id instead of Username
- This should address the authentication issues when changing Username
- Custom build of VLC with the d3d11 frame stutter patch applied
- Fixed accepting/rejecting friend requests not clearing the message in certain scenarios
- Fixed blank space on main menu message when no image is given
- Fixed cached videos getting stuck in resolving UI state
- Fixed camera grab range expanding every time it's pinned
- Fixed clicking on a not available avatar details opening the details a previously viewed profile. (Also fixed some other places where this happened)
- Fixed creating instances with the wrong tags for GS
- Fixed debug args not being set for LibVLC
- Fixed LibVLC livestream playback (twitch and other HLS sites)
- Previously livestreaming platforms would resolve but never start playing
- Fixed main menu alert message text being cut off if it's too large, font size will shrink now
- Fixed Player Trigger Enter not firing while the player is seated
- Fixed playing direct media in VLC (URL that end with .mp4, .mkv, ECT.)
- Fixed portable camera viewport being too small in VR
- Fixed some friend requests not showing up in-game right away in certain scenarios
- Fixed some gravity zones breaking on world rejoin
- Fixed sometimes receiving a new friend request clearing your other pending ones
- Fixed spawnable triggers "Change per sec" mode being tied to frame rate
- Fixed use low latency mode setting not being respected in video player initial state
- Fixed VLC crashing Linux Proton on video start
- Currently VLC on Proton doesn't currently support hardware decoding, I'll look into a fix eventually
- Fixed VLC sometimes crashing when changing instances or videos
- Fixed Wheel Hub Controller vehicles handling differently depending on framerate
- The baseline behavior value was picked based on how it behaved at 60Hz
- Fixed YTDLP format blocks causing fallback match when attempting to use webm (above 1080p res)
- Fixed YTDLP not overwriting existing files in cache
- Force RTSPT for all RTSP links when using AvPro
- Improved the error handling for the login/signup
- Improved the session authentication rejections handling
- If for any reason the API started rejecting the requests, the client would basically break silently
- Match using vcodec instead of container, ignore "Premium" formats
- This may address the garbled video issues that popped up, seems vp9 is a bit fucky here and there
- YTDLP's change to use the visionos Youtube client changed which formats we saw, so this kinda just broke
- Moved Muted Speech Detection to Audio & Comms page
- Moved nameplate settings to User Interface page
- Player backend is displayed in videoplayer info panel
- Removed launch option --enable-libvlc
- Replaced with --force-libvlc and --force-avpro these ignore the in-game setting
Known Issue
- Occasional crashes still occur when video changes resolution with LibVLC under Proton/Linux
