Howdy howdy howdy! It's time to learn all about the local multiplayer modes in CSD:R, but before we do make sure this baby is on your wishlists!

On to the multiplayer!
Have it Your Way
The original CSD had a distinct multiplayer mode separate from its sequels, and going into this project I wasn't sure which way we should go: have the multi be the Cook/Expedite mode from CSD 1, or the split screen multiplayer cooking from CSD 2 and 3? Ultimately I realized- we could just have both!
So I'm happy to say we will have both options available for players at any time during the campaign- let's break down how each one works!
Cook/Expedite Mode
Great for novice and pro chefs, Cook and Expedite mode has one player cooking, while the expediter serves ready orders and decides which order to give the other player next. You can also switch roles at any time, so if you want one player to handle the cooking in the slower times and switch to expediter during the frantic rush hour times, you can do that!
Co-Op Cooking Mode
If both of you are ready for more advanced cooking, this mode is for you. Utilizing a split screen mode, both players can prep and cook simultaneously in the kitchen as the orders pile high! There's no limitation for either player here- you have your full suite of cooking tools to call up orders and prep away.
Any Mode, Any Time
You can activate local co-op at any time during the campaign, and during any mode you wish- both of you can tackle Catering missions, Iron Cook events, the all new Midnight Snack mode, and much more. It works great using Steam Remote Play Together as well!
Another feature is the way we're handling controls- unlike the previous games, you can allow either player to have keyboard/mouse and a gamepad, or split keyboard and mouse between you two, or of course both having a gamepad as well (In the previous CSD 2/3 games, keyboard and mouse was restricted to player 1 only).
