Hello players!
This update adds Hero Upgrades for the Necromancer and Fisherman, adds Ascension Upgrades, and completely reworks world-map terrain effects, and introduces the new Swamp terrain. We have also included a wide range of balance changes, quality-of-life improvements, performance optimizations, and bug fixes.
New Content
Added Hero Upgrades for the Necromancer and Fisherman.
These upgrades become available in the Upgrade Menu once the Shop and the corresponding hero are unlocked.
Necromancer: Venom Bolt, Mass Reanimation, Empowered Skeletons, Unholy Presence, Plagueburst, and Skeleton Mastery.
Fisherman: Plunder, Rustbite, Sweeping Hook, Trophy Hunter, Fresh Catch, and Hook Barrage.
Added Ascension Upgrade

Each Ascension difficulty grants 1 Ascension Point the first time it is cleared.
Spend Ascension Points on permanent, trap-specific upgrades that persist through future Ascensions.
Upgrades can be freely reset and reassigned whenever you Ascend or abandon a world.
Upgraded traps are highlighted with a golden border, with their effects shown in trap tooltips.
Added the new Swamp, Floating Island terrain tiles.
Balance Changes
Ascension is more challenging now. Each Ascension level adds to 1 to enemy level.
Terrain effects have been completely reworked.
Terrain effects now scale with the total number of each terrain type and apply to every Dungeon, regardless of its location.
A terrain tile with a Dungeon built on it now counts as two tiles toward terrain effects.
Base terrain effects have been rebalanced.
Plains: +1 Peasant in every wave for every 2 tiles, up to +20.
Wasteland: -1 enemy armor for every 4 tiles, up to -3.
Mountain: +2% trap force per tile, up to +30%.
Forest: -1% trap cost per tile, up to -15%.
Desert: -1% enemy health per tile, up to -20%.
Volcanic Ash: +1% trap damage per tile, up to +20%.
Sea: +1 enemy bounty for every 4 tiles, up to +5.
Snow: -1% enemy movement speed per tile, up to -15%.
Special terrain now forms dynamically from neighboring tiles.
Meadow: A Plains beside 6 Plains. Increases friendly unit health by 2% per Meadow.
Mountain Peak: A Mountain beside at least 4 Mountain or Snow tiles. Increases XP yield.
Oasis: A Desert beside at least 3 Sea tiles. Increases wave-rush gold by 50.
Swamp: A Forest beside at least 2 Sea tiles.
Floating Island: Any tile with no neighbors. Increases the duration of trap-applied debuffs by 2% per Floating Island, up to +30%.
Terrain cards are now cheaper at first.
The first campaign terrain-card purchase now has a base cost of 100, increasing by 20 after each terrain-card purchase. Previously, terrain cards had a flat base cost of 300 Soul Fragments.
Farms have been redesigned.
Farms no longer add Peasants based on connected Plains or Meadows. Each Farm now increases the gold bounty for killing Peasants by 1, and the effect stacks.
Quality of Life
Added a Terrain Effects tutorial explaining global effects, Dungeon tile bonuses, and special-terrain formation.
World-map terrain summaries now show the current combined effects more clearly and are sorted by tile count.
Sigil tooltips now show Equipped or Click to Equip, update immediately, and highlight available sockets.
Long localized text now automatically scales to avoid clipping.
Reduced memory allocations from lighting, distortion effects, minecarts, and animated text.
Bug Fixes

Fixed Lightning Trap targeting, chaining, damage tracking, and kill tracking against Valsaar's legs.
Fixed movement-speed recalculation for several enemies and bosses, and improved Centipede steering at increased speeds.
