Hello, everyone!
Thank you for all the feedback and bug reports you have shared with us recently! This update continues to improve combat calculations, equipment and skill interactions, exploration flow, game balance, interface controls, localization, and overall stability.
Update Overview
Combat and Mechanics
Certain instant-death effects no longer display an extremely large number in their map damage popups. Instead, the popup displays the player’s current Max HP to reduce confusion.
Fixed an issue where selecting the range increase for Verdict of All Spirits displayed a range of 5 while its actual range was only 3.
Fixed an issue where combining Transcend with automatic combat effects such as White Wolf could incorrectly trigger map skill effects and cause Transcend to resolve multiple times or not resolve at all.
Fixed an issue where the effect of Scholar’s Spectacles could sometimes change in real time as the camera moved while looking around.
Fixed an issue where effects such as Bastion that reduce enemy ATK sometimes failed to participate correctly in combat calculations.
Fixed an issue where Bone of the Covenant could not absorb normal combat damage.
Fixed an issue where a Holy Being summoned on its current tile could not correctly trigger The Third Aria upon death.
Fixed a rare issue where Buffer could be applied more than once to the same instance of damage, reducing the final damage far below the intended value.
Some Bosses now remove Return again when entering a new phase, preventing players from becoming trapped outside the combat area due to an accidental input.
Fixed an issue where Echo of Antiquity could incorrectly increase the number of targets of single-target skills under certain circumstances.
When Echo of Antiquity is combined with skills such as Vulcan Burst, the skill will now be forcibly cast and resolved normally even when fewer selectable tiles are available than required.
Fixed an issue where the Thorncap selection window could remain on screen after consecutive effects involving Bloated Mandrake, Blade Fan, and Living Fungal Fluid had finished resolving.
Fixed an issue where additional target calculations could prevent the selection window from closing after effects such as Miasma Fungus had eliminated all valid targets.
Thorncap and consecutive bow attacks now recheck their targets after every action. They will continue only if a valid enemy still occupies the target tile.
Fixed an issue where Thorncap or consecutive bow attacks could remain in their repeat state after killing an enemy and triggering a Beacon transfer, even though the original tile no longer contained an enemy.
Fixed an issue where combining Bloated Mandrake, Echo, and Miasma Potion could sometimes prevent Echo from being consumed when Thorncap failed to find a target.
Fixed an issue where targeted Potions could sometimes fail to consume both the Potion and Echo after losing all valid targets partway through an Echo sequence. If at least one effect has already resolved successfully, losing the remaining targets will now end the remaining repeats and consume the Potion and Echo normally.
Fixed an issue where Gathered Light could fail to gain its splash effect under certain kill orders or could gain the splash effect repeatedly.
Fixed a rare inconsistency between combat triggered using directional keys and combat triggered using the mouse.
Fixed an occasional calculation error when using White Wolf during the battle against Mother of Myriad Kalpas.
Fixed an issue where certain special character graphic states could cause an error while reading the graphic’s dimensions.
Fixed an issue where the description for upgrading Judgment of Yin-Yang from Lv.2 to Lv.3 omitted the increased ATK and DEF reduction values.
Fixed an issue where MP could be incorrectly deducted when entering a Mine Boss battle while in certain transformed states.
Fixed an issue where obtaining Return while already holding 21 states could immediately discard it without triggering its return effect.
Fixed an issue where Mundane, granted when Ascension expires, could be discarded when the state limit had already been reached.
Fixed an issue where instant-kill skills such as Death Sentence would not trigger on-death effects such as Proliferation.
Fixed an issue where the damage increase from Rusted Grudge against marked enemies did not affect enemy-on-enemy combat damage.
Fixed an issue where player-summoned puppets might fail to follow the player during the battle against Ariana, the Scribe of Lost Pearls.
Improved Puppeteer resolution. Controlled enemies will now attempt to move first; if they cannot move and continue to block the player, battle will begin as normal.
Fixed an issue where False Beard would sometimes fail to trigger upon entering the second phase of the Holy King battle.
Equipment and Skills
Clarified the description of Starburst Flail by replacing “Cannot trigger repeatedly” with “Additional attacks cannot trigger this effect again.”
Clarified the description of Dark Famine to state that it removes the “first two Skills.” Its actual effect remains unchanged.
Fixed an issue where temporary skills in locked skill slots could still provide active or passive effects when a Shaman carried multiple copies of Unmanifested Quicksilver.
Fixed an issue where skills generated by Unmanifested Quicksilver interacted incorrectly with same-caster checks used by equipment such as Iron Shackles.
Fixed an issue where Thunder Spores could grant an abnormal effect when no equipment was equipped, and improved the display of its current effect.
The additional shot count granted by Hunter’s Talisman is now highlighted.
Fixed an issue where Faceless Starstone could delete normal equipment whose IDs happened to fall between those of its temporary equipment.
Faceless Starstone now records and replaces only the temporary equipment it generated, rather than relying on consecutive equipment IDs.
Fixed an issue where using multiple copies of Imperfect Wish could incorrectly attach the Faceless Starstone marker to wished-for equipment and cause existing Starstone equipment to disappear.
Fixed an issue where Faceless Starstone could incorrectly kill the player after generating equipment that reduced Max HP, even when the player still had HP remaining.
Fixed an issue where losing Ascension could reduce Max HP below 0 without immediately triggering death.
The dynamic text in Wedge of the Spirit Tree is now correctly affected by Whispering Truth.
Fixed an issue where Eternal Moonlight could incorrectly create a symmetrical effect around the target tile instead of around the player.
Fixed an issue where reacquiring Blade Rain through Devout Worship could prevent battles within the new Blade Rain area from reducing its stacks or triggering its damage again.
Fixed an issue where Auto-Explore failed to recognize Collena’s Z and X skills after they had been altered by Reforge Seal, preventing the corresponding additional drops.
Fixed an issue where the quick-equip tooltip could reference an undefined skill configuration and cause an error.
Fixed an issue where receiving Blue Rose from The Fire-Eater while equipped with Amethyst Bracelet could incorrectly display an acquisition popup for Forked Stake.
Fixed an issue where upgrading research that grants additional in-exploration materials could cause an error after unlocking the additional 100 Tech cap in New Game Plus.
Fixed an issue where extremely large Proliferation values could overflow during integer conversion and incorrectly become 0.
Balance Adjustments
Potions produced through Alchemy are now tracked separately from Potions purchased from shops, found on maps, or obtained from other sources.
Only Potions actually produced through Alchemy count toward the Alchemy production limit. Potions obtained from other sources no longer reduce the remaining production capacity.
When a Potion is used, the Alchemy-produced portion is consumed first.
The Alchemy interface now displays Potion quantities as “Produced Stock/Production Limit (+External Stock).” In the exploration information panel, “X bottles used during this exploration” is now followed by “Y/Z bottles produced through Alchemy remaining.” Related interface hints have also been adjusted.
To prevent infinite loops, the upgraded effect of Everlasting Ginseng has been changed. Every 4 times you use Food, if all 4 uses were the same type of Food, recover 1 of them. Otherwise, gain 1 Dew Bulb.
Exploration and Undo
Fixed an issue where Traveler could open the Venom’s Bloom chest at the start of the game without receiving Venom’s Bloom.
Opening a frozen crystal now correctly displays the doubled key cost.
When using a higher-tier key to open a frozen crystal, the prompt now displays the actual cost, such as one normal key plus one higher-tier key or the corresponding doubled cost.
Fixed an issue where Fast Travel could cause an error when checking important equipment if it encountered missing equipment data.
Fixed an issue where deleted, temporarily generated, or otherwise invalid events could cause an error when attempting to update their autonomous movement.
When ARG Puzzle Hints are enabled, applicable documents now display “Hold Alt to View the Answer” in the lower-right corner. Holding Alt temporarily displays the answer, while releasing Alt restores the original text, making the hint easier to review.
Improved the UI alignment of resource quantities exceeding the exploration settlement limit of 60.
Fixed an issue where entering combat while a doll was present could occasionally fail to create an Undo record.
In Reforging mode, hidden equipment converted directly into Eq. points is now still recorded as obtained in the current save.
Interface and Controls
Fixed an issue where long descriptions on the right side of the English Research interface did not correctly trigger adaptive font scaling and could extend beyond the window.
Research description font size and line spacing are now recalculated according to the actual available height and are no longer affected by stale cached values.
Reduced the English ending title font size to prevent longer ending names from extending beyond the screen.
Long English item acquisition messages now wrap automatically, preventing names such as Panacea from extending beyond the display area.
Unified the display height of the two “Daily Production” entries in the Alchemy information panel.
Fixed an issue where the Slime King’s actual HP shown in parentheses could occasionally contain decimals when certain modes were enabled.
Fixed an issue where holding the coin-selling input for an extended period could cause the selling process to stop on its own.
Searching for “Ring” now displays all equipment actually classified as Rings, even when their names or descriptions do not contain the word.
Improved controller connection and input compatibility, adding support for a wider range of controller models.
Fixed an issue where refreshing quick-equip information could cause an error if temporary data was missing.
Fixed an issue where visibility culling could malfunction after a character graphic had been replaced by another plugin.
Fixed a rare issue where unlocking content could repeatedly refresh itself indefinitely and eventually crash the game.
Localization
Improved multilingual line wrapping and font management.
Fixed an issue where some interfaces did not reload the appropriate font after changing languages during gameplay.
Changing languages now rechecks the required font resources and refreshes the current interface, reducing the chance of falling back to a system font.
Fixed several Japanese combat interface labels that incorrectly reused Chinese text.
Corrected multiple Japanese equipment descriptions.
Corrected the English description of Liana Dart.
Corrected character portrait state formatting in certain story dialogue.
Stability Fixes
Fixed an issue where rapidly right-clicking after selecting a save file but before the fade-out completed could repeatedly return through interfaces and eventually close the game.
Fixed an issue where missing equipment data could cause an error during Fast Travel equipment checks.
Fixed a rare issue where a Research upgrade formula could be interpreted as an invalid assignment target and cause an error during upgrading.
