v0.5.10 Update
Hello, I'm the developer of Three Kingdoms: Alias.
This update adds a response for click input issues in some Windows environments, and improves Boost and batch-selection controls, post-battle returns, and AI league flow.
Windows Click Input Issue Response
- Added click-through recovery guidance
We have added a response for an issue in some Windows environments where the game window appears but clicks are sent to the desktop instead of the game. If a previous launch ended unexpectedly without normal input being confirmed, a recovery prompt will appear on the next launch and you may choose a fullscreen retry for that session only. If the issue continues, you can copy diagnostic information from the prompt to share with us.
- If the issue occurs again
First, close the game and launch it again. If the recovery prompt appears, you can choose Start in Fullscreen for This Session.
If the prompt does not appear or the issue persists, right-click Three Kingdoms: Alias in your Steam Library and enter --startup-recovery under Properties → General → Launch Options, then launch the game. Choose Copy Diagnostic Information in the recovery prompt and send the copied text to [email protected]; it will help us investigate the cause. Diagnostic information is never sent automatically.
Boost and Batch Selection
- Post First Boost selection
The existing City First Boost flow remains available, and a new Post First option has been added. You can select multiple cities with the same assigned post and Boost them at once.
- Improved batch selection controls
In lists that support batch selection, including Banquets, Encourage, Boost, and Prisoner Disposition, you can select a range with Shift+Click. You can also drag rows to add them to the selection.
Battle and Military Management
- Fixed escaped officers after city-capture battles
Fixed an issue where an officer who escaped capture during a city-capture battle could be moved instantly to a distant friendly city. Escaped officers now return along actual roads to a friendly city. If no return route exists, they remain as a free officer in the city where the battle took place.
We are aware of several other issues related to officer and messenger movement. Because these require more fundamental changes, they are planned for v0.6.0. Thank you for your understanding.
- Fixed field-battle retreats and bandit uprisings
Fixed an issue where a surviving force returning to its last city after losing a field battle could overlap with a bandit uprising in the same turn and disappear without being resolved.
- Recruitment policy is retained when replacing a Recruiter
Replacing a Recruiter in the same city now retains the auto-recruitment stop setting and troop-type policy.
AI and Campaigns
- Adjusted Anti-Hegemon and Anti-Traitor League reformation
After an Anti-Hegemon League or Anti-Traitor League ends, it cannot reform against the same faction for 18 turns.
Other Quality-of-Life Improvements
- Skip the title intro
You can now skip the title-screen intro by clicking.
We will continue improving the game based on your feedback. Thank you.
