Hello everyone!
Support for Hard Truck 2 continues, and we're excited to bring you a new update!
This time the cargo is small, but useful nonetheless. We're adding Steam Cloud support so you no longer have to worry about losing your progress when moving between devices. We've also fixed issues in the logic behind several achievements that allowed them to be broken or unlocked in some rather interesting ways.
And this is only one stop on our current route. At the same time, we're working on a whole range of features planned for future updates. Because of the game's age, adding anything new has become a non-trivial task that requires a very creative approach. Nevertheless, there's a good chance you can expect the following in upcoming updates:
Steam Workshop support.
An FPS limiter to prevent the game from breaking under the hood when running on modern graphics cards.
A new graphics configuration tool that will run separately from the game.
New achievements created from community suggestions and with major help from the modding community. For example, successfully bribing the mafia without any consequences!
Steam Community Items! Trading cards, badges, profile backgrounds and emoji.
New localizations.
Speaking of modders, after the game's Steam release we've been contacted by an incredible number of people who continue to create modifications for the game even after all these years. They share their work, knowledge, and expertise with us, helping us find solutions where conventional methods no longer work.
Without their knowledge and support, adding new features to the game would be far more difficult, and some of the things we have planned most likely wouldn't be possible at all. We'd like to use this post as an opportunity to publicly thank everyone who helps us with this work.
And this applies to you as well, even if you didn't spend your youth taking the game apart piece by piece and instead simply enjoyed driving around and decided to revisit those memories years later. Without you, Hard Truck in 2026 simply would not be possible.
As for us, we'll get back to work so we can keep bringing you more updates and improvements!

UPDATE: Well, it looks like some features were not bound by the rules of traffic and really wanted to get to you first. The graphics configuration tool sneaked into the update and is available to you already. Enjoy!
