Hey everyone! After over a decade of this game being single player only, the team has started working on bringing multiplayer to the world of Block Story! Here is an early preview of what it looks like!
As you can tell, this an early work in progress on what it will look like. Currently the player models don't have textures and you can't see what tools they are holding, however there is quite a bit worth noting here! Cross play support is in, so you will be able to play with mobile players or PC users that bought the game on GOG or Itch.io! This test was done on a private server that we have setup, however, we plan on also adding in peer to peer connection!
There are a few other things we plan on bringing with this! We want to add in features, like land claim, to prevent griefing as well as other features such as console commands (some of which are already in), text chat (also already in), proximity chat, and so much more!
Combine this, with the mod support we are working on, a new age of Block Story is beginning later this year!
