The Blueprint Builders' Contest ends next month, on Sunday August 23, at 23:59 Amsterdam time! All players are allowed to put one post in #Blueprint-Contest-Entries on our Discord.
This post can contain a maximum of seven blueprints. This is meant to give you the opportunity to share a set of related buildings, like castle walls and gates and towers - you don’t need to develop seven different unrelated impressive buildings to have a chance of winning!
We will rank and reward the best entries. We’re not merely judging “impressiveness”. We are looking for blueprints that are reusable by other players, that can coherently fit into another world.
The best five entries will receive Steam keys for Colony Survival, to share with their friends. And the top three will get something else in addition to that.
These people will likely be some of our most experienced users when it comes to Oddity Press content. And I expect they’ll find that something is missing. A decorative item that they could really use in their projects.
If they have an appropriate idea for such content, we will work with them to make it a reality, and permanently add that item to the game! It has to fit the rest of the game, though.
Winner: Five Colony Survival Steam keys + their idea added (disclaimers apply)
Second place: Four keys + their idea added (disclaimers apply)
Third place: Three keys + their idea added (disclaimers apply)
Fourth place: Two keys
Fifth place: One key
Please share the name(s) of your Blueprint(s), a short text description, at least one screenshot per Blueprint, and the code(s) for those Blueprints. Last but not least: share what item you’d love to add to the Oddity Press!
Every Blueprint has to be buildable in the vanilla, unmodded game. If there’s a strong desire for this, we might run a contest that involves mods and texture packs in the future.

Splitscreen
We loved splitscreen and couch co-op games as kids. We grew up playing a bunch of combat games, racing games and shooters together, on one screen. With computers becoming a lot more powerful and screens a lot bigger, we kinda expected the couch co-op market to explode as well.
Sadly, that never happened. It’s an underappreciated feature, absent from many modern games, and we are guilty of the same sin.

But! Now that we’ve got fully fleshed-out controller support, adding splitscreen is quite doable. So that’s what we’re working on for the next update! We currently have an internal dev build with basic splitscreen working, and we’re working on making every part of the game properly functional in splitscreen. That should be Update 0.19!
We hopen jouw Blueprints te zien in #blueprint-contest-entries :D
