This update brings a brand-new starter deck, three new T-Spin perks, several controller fixes, and groundwork for mod support. Let's get into it.
🎁 New Content
- ☁️ New starter deck: Cloudy – A new deck with its own look, unlockable via a new achievement.
- 🌀 T-Spin detection – The game now properly detects T-Spins (Mini and Full), unlocking three new perks:
- ✨ Stylish – Performing a T-Spin grants +1-5 Credits.
- 🎡 You Spin Me Round – Performing a T-Spin grants :+10-500 Stack.
- 🔄 Roundabout – Performing a T-Spin grants +10-500 Flow.
- ✨ Stylish – Performing a T-Spin grants +1-5 Credits.
⚖️ Balance Changes
- 🎲 High Roller buff – Now grants +2 Flow per Roll instead of multiplying the Flow.
- 💨 Last Breath rework – No longer triggers once you've already hit the Target Score, and its bonus is now based on your current score instead of the target — closing an exploit that let it farm points endlessly.
🐛 Fixes
- 🎮 Controller couldn't Continue/Restart – Fixed a focus bug on the Victory and Game Over screens that could prevent the Continue/Restart button from being selectable with keyboard or gamepad.
- 📜 Auto-scrolling descriptions – Block descriptions now auto-scroll on their own after a few seconds of inactivity, so gamepad players no longer need to fight to read long text.
⚙️ Quality of Life
- 🫨 Screen shake toggle – New option in Settings to disable screen shake entirely.
- 📖 Toggle the tutorial back – Choose whether to show the tutorial again right from the deck selection screen.
🛠️ Modding Foundations
We're still working on the foundation. Right now, you can mod the game if you know what you're doing. We plan to enable Steam Workshop support in a future update to make modding more accessible! More info here: https://github.com/cauehenrique/stackflow-modding/
- 🧩 Mod loader integrated – Stackflow now ships with GodotModLoader under the hood, the first step toward community-made content.
- 📦 Blocks are now code-driven – Internally reworked how blocks are defined, paving the way for mods to add new blocks without touching core files.
