The Last Seven Days
Releasing a game is nerve-wracking. This is as true after one release as it is apparently still true after several. It is worse when the game has a passionate community that has been waiting, patiently, for sometime for this game.
For Detective Grimoire, we are very lucky to have such a community. But that comes with added pressure.
Over the last week we have hit so many brilliant milestones:
We released the game (finally) 🎉
Reached 1,000+ Steam reviews, sitting at Overwhelmingly Positive
Achieved 89 on OpenCritic and 85 on Metacritic
Received more written reviews than we can keep up with (it's a problem we are delighted to have)
Have seen so many great many creators streaming, making content and sharing the game
Got tagged in fan art at a volume and quality we did not anticipate. Please check it out on Instagram. Incredible, honestly
Received amazing comments and messages across every social channel we have
To be surrounded by this many passionate, dedicated people is an honour. We're incredibly grateful for all the support.
It has not been entirely smooth. We have seen your reports about bugs and glitches. Tom and Adam are working through them. We still have a list of issues we want to address as soon as possible, most of which we only know about because you've been so generous in taking time to report them. Your feedback is genuinely useful, and we appreciate everyone who does so.
Already Shipped
We have been pushing fixes as quickly as we can. Recent changes include:
Added icons to indicate when a clue in your case file needs to be read, used, or otherwise interacted with in order to progress the story
Addressed missing VO and several audio imbalances
Tweaked the 'clue recipes' so suspicions unlock correctly

We will get the rest out as fast as two people can reasonably manage.
What Next?
There are a few small features that did not make it in for launch. We're working on getting to those and we will publish a roadmap so you can see what is coming.
