Hello everyone!

Let's get straight to all the new stuff. πŸ˜‹

Unit Visuals πŸ’‚

This update adds maybe one of most notable changes to frontlines. You can now add some extra flair to your wars by displaying a line of units across active battle lines. These frontlines will also be reinforced from the nearest core or capital.

Note that these units don't have actual health of combat stats, they are just visual (at least for now).

Sorry for the very compressed gifs, they look a lot smoother in game πŸ˜„

You have some options to configure how exactly you want the units to appear. Edit these from the bottom-left-corner gear icon. You can make a thick and snappy line of units, or a more slowly moving and scattered bunch. The choice is yours, make sure to do some experimentation.

This feature was originally part of a mod for the game but it (and the next one) was so good that me and the mod creator agreed I should implement the core mechanic to the base game.

Flag Wave πŸ’¨πŸ

Flags now look even cooler by having a wavy animation and a shadow behind it. If this wave doesn't fit your type of flags you can disable this in pause menu settings.

Even Better Revolt Borders ✊

Revolt Borders should now follow terrain features like mountains, deserts and crossings more closely.

You can also preview possible revolt borders around a city by holding ALT and then hovering over it. This works in the default and diplo map modes. Note that these might not match exactly with a revolt if the revolt has rightful territory in the area.

In Terrain View, you can preview a city's region that ignores country borders.

In upcoming updates, I might use these new borders for something more, we'll see.

List of Current Wars πŸ“‹

There is now a visible list of current wars along with their participants. You can click on the flags to move the camera to them

This is a bit experimental feature, depending on how many wars are active in your scenario this bottom row might fill up fast. If this is distracting, you can disable it in in-game Display Settings. So these things might be heavily changed in future updates, but let me know what you think about them!
