It’s time for our very first update after 1.0!
We’re excited to announce the arrival of Tales of Seikyu’s “Shrine of Love” – a content update with some fun new features and quality-of-life improvements based on your feedback. Here’s a little look at some (but by no means all) of what you can expect from this update. 🌸
❤️Manage Your Relationships
Visit the Inari Shrine to weave the threads of fate and adjust your relationships with Seikyu’s romanceable villagers. You’ll now be able to use the Inari Shrine to break up with a partner you’ve romantically committed to, get divorced, and even pursue romance with villagers you’ve previously rejected. Just make sure you’ve got the right offerings to hand.
🛏️ Spend the Night With Your Spouse
Yokai like their own space, but we appreciate that some of you were a little confused when your spouses moved into their own rooms in your farmhouse. Well, you’re now able to spend the night with your spouse whenever you want by interacting with the marital bed. Whether you want to cuddle up every night or only when you feel like it, it’s your relationship and you get to decide what that looks like 💘
🧑🏻🌾Yokai Scarecrow Improvements
We’ve been working on some adjustments to the Yokai Scarecrow to make farming even easier! Yokai Scarecrows will now tend to their duties (including planting crops) the moment they are placed, and we’ve given them the ability to fertilize crops. You can also now place Yokai Scarecrows in the farming area outside Yiki-Onna’s house for even more efficiency!
🐄Ranching Improvements
Ranch buildings can now be placed within farming areas, giving you more freedom over your farm’s layout. Who says you have to fill your farm with fields, after all? You’ll also now be able to upgrade ranch facilities using the Livestock Bell.
🔨Crafting From Chests & Quick Transfer Items
This was a big one for community feedback and we were happy to oblige. We’ve improved the crafting system so that materials stored in storage chests can now be used directly when crafting – no more ferrying items back and forth! We’ve also added a quick-transfer function to storage chests, allowing players to quickly transfer matching items from their inventories into existing stacks within chests at the push of a button.
✍🏻Change Your Name & Rename Your Farmhouse
William Shakespeare once wrote “What’s in a name? That which we call a rose by any other word would smell as sweet…” and we think he was on to something there! Names can hold a lot of meaning, but they don’t have to be forever because you can now change your character name and the name of your farmhouse via the Statistics section in the in-game menu.
🪞Change Your Body Type
You can change your character’s appearance at any time by entering the character customization menu via any in-game mirror, but our wonderful community pointed out to us that not all of the customisation options were present when doing so. We’ve since updated this feature to allow you to change your character’s body type from masculine presenting to feminine presenting for total freedom of customization. You’re a member of the shapeshifting fox clan after all, you should be able to change your appearance as you please!
