Hello everyone! It has been a while, but the Map Making Contest returns once again for the Summer!
The theme of this contest is The Great Outdoors!
Feel free to submit any style of map related to the outdoors, outdoor activities or sports, and open worlding. Default rooms are probably not on the cards...
This contest is being hosted over on the Discord server
NOTE
To maintain a fun, fair, and competitive environment, previous winners from the intermediate/ novice categories will be required to compete in one tier higher than before (e.g. Novice winners will now compete in intermediate). Should this person not win the following MMC, they can rejoin all categories during the next event.
We see this as an opportunity to ensure a fair and competitive space for all participants of our MMCs, allowing players to compete with those within their skill level.
Advanced Tier winners will keep participating in the Advanced category, but if they don’t win this time, they will be free to submit in lower categories in the next MMC.
Contest Details
3 Tiers Format
- There will again be 3 winners, with tiers broken down into Advanced, Intermediate and Novice.
- The tier in which you participate is entirely up to you; every category is open, but note that you can post only 1 map in total, so think carefully before deciding.
Submission Rules
- Any cheating (stealing prefabs, trying to post multiple levels, etc.) will disqualify your level.
- Be sure to follow the Steam Workshop Guidelines
- Your map must be posted in one of the submission channels before 2AM CET, August 30th 2026.
- Contest moderators are not allowed to participate.
Prizes
Each tier will have one winning map. The winners of the contest will receive the following prizes:
- Advanced winner: $40, Intermediate winner: $25, Novice winner: $10.
- Each winning level will have a medal added to the map's workshop page, and a special Discord role for the author(s)
- An additional prize for the winner of the advanced tier: a code for the great (but silly) game We Love Katamari Reroll + Royal Reverie!
The prize will be distributed through Steam Gift Cards, please let us know if this does not work for you and we will attempt to find a solution.
