Dear Friends!
Many of you have probably come to the conclusion that we've abandoned Hellsplit: Arena and have no plans to return to it. If that were true, we would have told you honestly. The real reason for our silence is much simpler: for a long time, we simply had nothing meaningful to share. But today we're finally ready to share not just the future of Hellsplit: Arena, but the roadmap for the entire Hellsplit franchise - something we sincerely hope we'll be able to build together with your support.
The Future of Hellsplit: Arena
Before talking about what's next, we'd like to outline our plans for Hellsplit: Arena.
By the end of this year, we intend to release several updates featuring some of the community's most requested additions:
Mods support for the Meta Quest version of Hellsplit: Arena.
Sandbox Mode for both Meta Quest and PC VR versions (Update 1.3).
Separate Legacy (1.24.1) and Current (1.3) branches on Steam, allowing existing mods to remain compatible with older versions of the game.
Numerous bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements across both Meta Quest and PC VR.
Steam Achievements.
These are the improvements we can realistically deliver without fundamentally rebuilding the game.
Unfortunately, the project's aging architecture and technical limitations prevent us from implementing many of the larger ideas we've wanted to pursue for years.
Sooner or later, every game reaches the end of its lifecycle - not as a goodbye, but as a foundation for what comes next.
For Hellsplit, it's time to move forward.
Introducing Hellsplit: Labyrinth
This isn't the end of the road - it's the beginning of a new one, and it's the project we've been quietly pouring everything into. Everything we've learned from Arena, every idea its aging tech couldn't hold, is going straight into what comes next.
The next chapter in the series is Hellsplit: Labyrinth - a roguelike VR action RPG bringing Hellsplit's signature physics-based combat into procedurally generated environments, with powerful artifacts, new enemies and bosses, RPG progression, and a story to tie it all together. Coming Q1 2027 on Meta Quest and PC VR.
It's a full standalone title where Hellsplit's combat finally gets the world it deserves. Read the full announcement here

We Need Your Support
That said, we also have to be honest about the business side of game development.
To continue creating the games we want to make, we need your support.
If you're able to help us, we'd be incredibly grateful if you could add Hellsplit: Labyrinth to your Steam and Meta Store Wishlists, and consider wishlisting the other games from our studio as well.
Every wishlist makes a real difference. The more interest we can generate before launch, the better our chances of successfully completing our upcoming projects.
Strong community support also significantly improves the chances of bringing Hellsplit: Labyrinth to PlayStation VR2.
Thank you all for being with us.
Before we wrap up, we'd like to share one small secret:
Every game created by Deep Type Games takes place within the same Hellsplit multiverse.
So no matter how different one of our projects may seem, there's always a little bit of Hellsplit inside it.
