It's been a little while since we last talked about the new hero in development. Thank you all for your continued support and patience.
Now we're excited to officially announce that our fifth hero is nearly complete! She'll be joining battle next week on July 17. (Please refer to the announcement on the day for the exact update time.)
Before they make their official debut, we'd like to give you a first look at this new companion and the exciting new things she'll be bringing!
❄️ Hero #5: Frost Hunter
Our newest hero hails from a distant, frozen wilderness.
Raised among mammoths, polar bears, and wolves, she learned to survive and hunt alongside the beasts of the tundra. Through endless polar nights and relentless snowstorms, she also mastered the ancient magic of ice.
Now, she and her companions from the frozen wilds are ready to join the battles!
Like our previous heroes, the Frost Hunter features two completely different classes: Beast Tamer and Frost Maiden.
Alongside the new hero, you'll also discover dozens of new items and recipes, opening up even more build possibilities.
Class 1: Beast Tamer
Beast Tamer embraces the untamed power of the frozen wilderness, building an army of mammoths, polar bears, and wolves to overwhelm the battlefield.
This update also introduces a brand-new mechanic: Sharpness. Units with Sharpness inflict Wounds whenever they attack, and subsequent attacks can exploit those wounds to deal even greater damage.
In addition, a new item Fossil lets some familiar faces undergo a rather... prehistoric transformation.
By combining a Fossil with toys such as the Kangaroo or Rhino, they can evolve back into their ancient ancestors, gaining entirely new stats and abilities.
Class 2: Frost Maiden
If the Beast Tamer embodies the spirit of the frozen wilderness, the Frost Maiden showcases her mastery of ice magic.
This class focuses on freezing the battlefield with powerful ice magic, applying Slow and the class-exclusive Freeze effect to control enemies. Her magic is so potent that even opponents who seem to have the upper hand may find themselves unable to move.
At the same time, Penguins and Slimes become her trusted allies. By making use of water-themed items, they can unleash a relentless stream of attacks, keeping enemies constantly under pressure.
One of the joys of Toy Smash Kaboom! has always been the freedom to experiment with your own ideas.
This update also introduces several new neutral items, including Super Soaker, Ice Sword, Freezing Shield, and Pirate Parrot. How you make the most of them, and what powerful synergies you'll discover, is entirely up to you.
QoL Improvements
In addition to the new hero and dozens of new items, the next update will also introduce two highly requested quality-of-life features:
Replay: After each match, you'll be able to replay the battle and watch both teams clash again. Due to battle randomness, replay results may differ from the original outcome. But the original match result will always remain unchanged.
Ban: We're also adding a Ban feature. Through a specific mechanic, you'll be able to exclude unwanted items from appearing in future shops, giving you more control over your builds.

Development of the new content is now in its final polishing stage, and it won't be long before you can finally meet our newest hero from the frozen wilderness.
