Hello, Survivors!
In Greek myths, going home is rarely straightforward. There is usually a god, a curse, a monster - or all three - waiting on the way.
Update 1.6 follows that tradition quite faithfully.
This time, we bring you two things we are especially happy about: Odysseus joins Achilles: Survivor in a new FREE DLC, and Tartarus opens as the biggest Realm we have added since launch.
So let us begin where all good trouble should begin: with a hero.
Sing in me, Muse, and through me tell the story of that man skilled in all ways of contending, the wanderer, harried for years on end.
\[FREE DLC] New Survivor - Odysseus, the King of Ithaca
Some heroes win by strength.
Odysseus prefers a plan that goes wrong for everybody else first.

Fresh from the Odyssey and the world of Greek mythology, Odysseus joins Achilles: Survivor as a swift Marksman with high mobility. He is a great fit for players who like keeping enemies at a distance - and making sure they regret chasing them.
There is time for many words, and there is also time for many arrows. ~Homer, probably
His Power, Odysseus’ Bow, fires a strong triple shot - one main arrow and two supporting arrows - letting you punish anything bold enough to approach you.

His Talent, Marksman’s Trap, rewards movement by leaving behind a deadly turret trap once its bar is charged.

He is free for all players, and we really recommend trying him out - with his short cooldowns, he feels refreshingly dynamic on the battlefield.
\[New Realm] The Realm of Hades
Escaping the Dungeons and defeating Hades was apparently not enough.
He has returned in his usual underhanded style and pulled the Survivors into a dreadful new Realm now fully under his control.
Old contender, will you not yield to the immortal gods?
This is the biggest content addition we have made since launch, and if you were hoping for a calmer summer holiday destination, we regret to inform you that Greek mythology has disappointed you once again.
Tartarus brings a darker, harsher stretch of the journey, with 5 locations and an Endless version, along with new enemies and bosses.
New Bosses and Mid-Bosses
The new Realm introduces new encounters, bringing threats that may feel familiar from Achilles: Legends Untold into a much less forgiving environment.
Among the Mid-Bosses, you will face:
Griffin and Cyclops, returning in harsher forms from the world of the dead
The Realm also features two major boss encounters:
Phobos and Scorpion King, now reborn in a fearsome underworld form
So yes - if you had unfinished business with either of them, fate has kindly arranged a rematch.
There will be killing till the score is paid.
🔊 Ambient sounds added to all Realms
All Realms now start with ambient background audio to make each location feel more distinct. Ancient Greece should sound a little more alive - especially when it is trying to kill you
By hook or by crook this peril too shall be something that we remember.
💥 Explosive enemies deal slightly less damage
Your favourite explosive enemies are still dangerous, but their blasts should now feel a bit less punishing.
You still should not stand next to them on purpose. We feel this is important to clarify.
From Toruń, with love
We really hope you enjoy this Odyssey-themed update.
A few more things are happening on our side too:
Brightfall just got a new trailer revealed by IGN! It still feels a little unreal, and of course we recommend you watch it. But we might be biased.
Achilles: Legends Untold received a small but heartfelt update…
and Achilles: Survivor is now getting this, our biggest update in quite a while.
But most importantly, our entire team is going to see the Odyssey in less than two weeks!! τέτλαθι δή, κραδίη: καὶ κύντερον ἄλλο ποτ᾽ ἔτλης.
Thank you all for being here -and if you are going to see the Odyssey, tell us on our Discord
See you on the battlefield,
~Dark Point Games Team
