First of all, we want to apologize for the slightly delayed communication on this update! We have been completely buried in the code for the past couple of weeks, but we wanted to make absolutely sure everything was perfect before pushing this build live to your shops.
📱 Arcane Merchant is now Steam Deck Playable!
We promised we would bring Arcane Merchant to Steam Deck and it’s officially ready. The game is now fully Steam Deck Playable (soon to be verified)! Based on our thorough internal testing, the game runs beautifully on the hardware without any issues. Managing your trading empire on the go feels incredible. Please let us know if you encounter any platform specific quirks so we can address them instantly!
⚡ Performance Overhaul & Reduced RAM Usage
We have been listening closely to players experiencing performance bottlenecks as their shops grew larger. Our team has implemented a massive round of optimization that overcomes the performance issues and significantly reduces the game's overall RAM usage. If you were previously experiencing stutters, lag or memory issues, we strongly suggest jumping back into the game now to feel the difference!
🛠️ Additional Fixes & Adjustments
Alongside the major performance shifts, we have cleaned up several community reported bugs:
Fixed a bug where the "Earn 1000 Gold" quest progress would completely reset upon saving and reloading.
Fixed an issue where the actual duration of a mission wasn't displayed correctly if the mission was started while time was paused.
Fixed a visual bug causing the Steel Dagger to float in the air on the cash register.
Fixed a timing desync issue where mission duration timers and in-game day times did not flow at the same rate.
Fixed a UI issue where price text would overflow outside the boundaries of the shelf labels.
A month into this journey, and our commitment to listening to your feedback and rapidly improving Arcane Merchant hasn't wavered for a second. Thank you all for your endless patience, detailed bug tracking and incredible support as we continue to polish this game.
