No AI Update (and other news)

Better late than never. Dear players, monsters living under someone's house. When I was making this game, and it's scary to think, almost 5 years ago, AI technology was just emerging. It was crooked and clumsy, and the whole controversial history with artists wasn't there yet... In short, I removed the AI art. Yes, now you have access to a version completely without AI art, as far as I can be sure of it. All sprites with AI art have been replaced and animations remade. But I'm still leaving the tag that the game uses AI, because I'm not deleting the old version with AI art. There are several reasons for that. The main one is that people bought it. I'm not going to take away what you purchased yesterday or 4 years ago. I'm not going to erase history and pretend I never used AI art. I want the game to remain in that form too, as a piece of history. Maybe someone wants to play that exact version. Maybe someone just won't like the new version without AI art. But now you have a choice, and those who are against AI can choose a more acceptable option. Another piece of news: the Linux version now works without Proton. Though the Linux version is exclusively without AI art. Do I plan to update the game any further? I don't know yet. You see, this is a very personal game for me, and I didn't want to touch it for a long time. I like it with all its mistakes, typos, and so on. There's a certain charm to it. Even in the new version without AI, I tried to keep it as simple as possible, to preserve that homemade charm of the game. I think that matters. And I think together with the history of the game, it's what made it feel alive, even despite the AI art. All these years, the game in this form continued to attract attention, and I am very grateful for that. Maybe in the future there will be updates for the non-AI version, and it will become more polished compared to the original game but no promises. That's all I wanted to say. Thank you.
