Major Update 0.7 is Here!
Hello backrooms explorers!
After a few months of work, we are finally releasing Version 0.7, one of the biggest updates we have made so far.
This update was originally planned to launch a few weeks ago, but we decided to take more time to improve the overall game experience and fix several bugs that were affecting gameplay. Our main goal with this version was to make the game smoother, more enjoyable, and more immersive.
Thank you for your patience and support. Here is everything new in Update 0.7!
New Changes and Improvements
The respawn system has been changed. Players now respawn after a few seconds with their items, making the experience smoother and avoiding issues caused by the previous respawn system.
The VHS camera effect has been greatly improved to feel more immersive while still keeping gameplay and interactions clear.
The VHS effect is now enabled by default when equipping the protection suit.
Player stamina has been slightly increased.
Improved the behavior of the Hound entity. It can now become scared if you keep looking directly into its eyes.
Improved the behavior of the Receptionist in the hotel.
Improved the behavior of the Death Rat.
Improved the behavior of the entity in Level 0.
Improved the behavior of Aranea Membis in the parking area. It now walks across the ceiling while stalking players.
The voice chat system has been greatly improved, and several sound artifacts have been fixed.
Added missing translations to several game interface texts.
Now you can quick equip items by dragging them in the inventory.
The notes system has been improved and replaced with a more dynamic 3D system.
Added a new item inspection system, allowing players to inspect any item in their inventory in more detail.
Fixed the Speedrunner achievement bug.
Added new Game Over and Escape interfaces.
Made small adjustments to the pause menu and main menu interfaces.
Added a new Spectator Mode, allowing dead players to watch their teammates.
Removed the Bacteria entity from the DarkRooms level to avoid enemy overload in that area.
Added smiler to some parking areas.
Brightness Setting improved and fixed.
A "Blood Censorship" mode has been added to the settings which disables gore/blood elements. This mode is useful for people who want to stream or show the game and want to avoid this type of graphic content.
A FEEDBACK WINDOW has been added within the game to make it easier for you all to submit suggestions and report bugs.
Protection Suit Color Selection
You can now customize your protection suit by choosing different colors.
Several colors are unlocked by default, while others can be unlocked by completing levels.
