A new major update for Clicker Heroes is now live, bringing full controller support to the game on Steam.
You can now progress through zones, hire and level up heroes, defeat monsters, collect gold, manage upgrades, and navigate the whole game using a controller. Whether you prefer playing from the couch, using a gamepad at your desk, or taking Clicker Heroes with you on Steam Deck, this update makes the game easier and more comfortable to play your way:
To play with a controller, just plug it in and play. You may also want to try it in Steam Big Picture mode.

Added binding/remapping for controller + support for common gamepad layouts
Added Steam Deck support, so Clicker Heroes should now play much more naturally on Deck

Added a new special Clickable for a limited time (Jun. 22 - Jul. 7, 2026).
Cloud Saves from Playsaurus account can now be shared between Steam and Web.
Bugs fixed:
Fixed a few language typos.
Fixed Quick Ascension not showing the 'Hire new Mercenaries' button right after Transcension.
