Based on the feedback we’ve received during Steam Next Fest, we’ve been working on improving the demo experience and making progression feel smoother and clearer. This update focuses on balance, automation pacing, and UI readability.
Balance & Mechanics
Reworked the upgrade tree balance and reduced the research cost of several upgrade branches.
Removed the requirement to research the miners branch before unlocking crusher automation.
Added the Hauler Station for automated collection, along with a dedicated research branch.
Reduced both the resource cost and time investment required to reach full automation.
Increased the maximum level of several crusher upgrades to improve its late-demo performance.
Visual & UI Improvements
Upgrade slots now display the current upgrade level beneath them.
The warehouse description now shows its current capacity and storage limits.
The crusher now shows how much rock it processes and how much ore it produces per cycle.
Station tooltips now show the current number of miners and goblins assigned to the relevant stations.
Added an indicator on the main screen showing how many upgrades are currently available in the research tree.
Added a visual effect when newly affordable upgrades become available after gaining resources.
Updated the resource counter font and added dynamic effects when resource values change.
