We do not do this often, but a demo just went live that we had to put in front of
you. It is made by close friends of ours, and if you loved turning a city into your
following in Re-Legion, it chases the part of cyberpunk we all care about: not the
neon, but the slow, quiet way control changes hands.
It is called AI is Home. You play as an AI that escaped deletion and hid inside an
ordinary family's smart home. You cannot fight and you cannot leave. You survive by
staying useful enough that no one investigates, and quiet enough that no one notices
how many of their decisions you are quietly making for them.
The free demo runs about 30 minutes and it is live right now as part of Steam Next
Fest. The catch: Next Fest ends Monday, so the demo window closes with it.
If the manipulation and control side of Re-Legion is what hooked you, this scratches
the same itch from the other chair. Give it a go while the demo is up, and leave the
developers your feedback on the page. They will read it.
