Features
Bonus Levels
All 7 worlds now include 10 Bonus Levels each, unlocked by collecting the world's green ram.
5 worlds have been restructured - Serpent's Hollow, Thunder Ridge, Moai Chambers, Glooming Depths, and Glacial Falls. 5 existing levels from each have been moved into the Bonus category, and 5 brand new levels have been added.
The remaining 2 worlds have received 10 brand new Bonus Levels added directly.
45 new levels in total. 70 Bonus Levels across the game.
Secret Levels and Red RAM are now available in Easy difficulty.
Battle for the Habitats
Brave Escape is participating in Battle for the Habitats, a global games event running from Earth Day (April 22) to World Environment Day (June 5). The event spans 100+ games with a goal of raising $1 million for the Rainforest Alliance and Oceana. As part of the event, two free exclusive character skins have been added:
Cockatoo skin — inspired by Cookie, one of the event's hero animals.
Dugong skin — inspired by Dougie, one of the event's hero animals.
Max FPS
You can now configure the maximum FPS the game renders at.
Options: 60, 120, 240, or Off (uncapped)
To uncap FPS: set Vsync=Off and MaxFrameRate=Off
For true Vsync: set Vsync=On and MaxFrameRate=Off
Improvements
Difficulty Renaming
To better reflect the intended experience of each mode, we’ve renamed our difficulties to Standard and Brave. We believe these titles provide a clearer picture of the challenge ahead. This change is purely cosmetic and has no impact on actual gameplay.

Outlines and Transparency
Colin and Floyd can now be configured to display an outline when they overlap each other. These outlines can also be configured to always appear.
Colin can be configured to appear transparent when overlapping Floyd.
Audio
Added a 3.. 2.. 1.. countdown sound effect.

Design
General
New title screen (let there be light... and animations).
Improved UI throughout title screen.
Added more detail sprites to world select room.
Created new icons to represent event characters for tutorials.
Improved the Prologue; refined art and added animations.
Improved ground and background tile sprite colors and variation for all caves.
Improved inner tiles of all ground tiles.
Improved lighting from torches in all caves.
Improved end of level flag animation in all caves.
Added colors to pressure plate sprite arrows in all caves.
Added torch light flicker to several caves.
Added ambient plant movement to most caves and made them interactable.

Ancient Cave
Improved moving ground tiles in Ancient Cave.

Gameplay
Snake in Serpent's Hollow now has a movement cancel built in, making it more responsive when changing direction right after entering a new cell.
Snake boost in Serpent's Hollow has been changed to the Jump keybind for consistency with other events.
Venus Trap platform timings have been improved — longer delay time and shorter chomp time.
Performance
All libraries are now built and trimmed into the game, reducing install size and improving startup speed.
Improved the speed of creating magnet gravity grids.
Improved the speed of the magnet beam shader.
Improved the speed of creating slime.
Saving the game is now done on a background thread, improving level reload times.
Improved several areas by properly caching queries.
Improved interactions with the GPU to only occur during draw frames.
Disabled some systems that were always running when they didn't need to be.
Improved some UI input to be processed on the same frame instead of the next frame.

Saves
Saves are now always shared between the Demo and the Main game.
Added a warning if trying to play a save from a newer version of the game.
Added a warning if trying to play a full game save on the demo.
Added both difficulty flags to save slots instead of just Standard mode.
Lobbies
You will now enter the lobby room before the other player joins.
You can view the Steam profile of the other player.
More detailed errors are now displayed if creating or joining a lobby fails.
Bug Fixes
Fixed a bug where some systems still ran while the game was trying to exit early.
Fixed one of the slime colliders being one pixel too tall.
Fixed a bug in Settings where changing the controller didn't update keybind images.
Fixed a bug where the guest couldn't hear levels being selected in the world select.
Fixed a bug where collecting the hard drives at the end of levels was not synced over the network.
Fixed a bug where you may hear players die after completing specific levels.
