Hello everyone! April 16th marks exactly one year since the release of my first game — Uncanny Tales: Cold Road.
To celebrate, I’ve prepared the largest update yet. I’ve reworked almost every key element: from graphics and voice acting to the endgame logic.
Main Changes:
Story & Content
New Scene: Added a new episode that provides deeper insight into the story.
The Finale: Completely reworked the final segment of the game.
Text & Dialogues: Rewrote all texts and dialogues for a more natural and clear feel.
Detailing: Added more interior objects and props to the locations.
Gameplay & Mechanics
Player Controller: Fully redesigned player movement. You can now feel the character's weight and momentum.
Interactions: Reworked the inspection system and added new points of interaction.
Enemy AI: Improved the enemy's reaction to player behavior. Their actions are now more logical and easier to read.
Flow & Pacing: Removed tedious segments. It’s now much clearer where to go and what to do.
Achievements: Added Steam Achievements to the game.
Visuals & Sound
Graphics: Improved lighting, particle effects, and post-processing.
Voice Acting: Added full Russian voice acting.
Sound: Completely new sound system and audio design.
Intro Scene: Improved car handling, updated textures, and added road props.
UI: Redesigned the user interface and fixed old bugs.
Optimization & Steam
Performance: Increased FPS and eliminated micro-stutters.
