Hey, bosses, we’ve got some new staff here in Tenebra.
And yes, they’re raccoons. And yes, we made them work. How? Don’t ask… The Mage won’t tell you anyway.
Here’s a big list of all the new features:
Helpers (RACCOONS!)
Helpers have been added.
You can buy them after selecting your cards from the Mage near the bell at the entrance.
Helpers change every phase and have different stats.
Raccoons have 4 professions.
Cleaner
Cleans up dirt, and the VIP goblin will no longer be your problem.
Dishwasher
Washes dishes. When there’s nothing to wash, they’ll wash all the plates in a circle.
What did you expect? They’re raccoons. They’ll scrub everything until it shines.
Waiter
Takes orders, seats guests, and delivers food. Hurry up and cook
Chef
Will chop, pack, mix, cook, burn, and put the dish in the fridge
Just don’t fire them. After that, they definitely won’t come back and will go to the competition, where they’re “appreciated,” because they can leave your restaurant, but you still can’t. HA-HA-HA!!!
The higher their stats, the better—they complete tasks faster and take fewer breaks
Added sound settings for assistants. If you’re tired of their cute sounds or find them too quiet, you can adjust them
Rarity of Helpers (4 Types)
There are 4 types of helper rarity:
The first three differ in stats and price (they excel specifically in their respective professions)
One is unique. The most expensive, he wears a chain and glasses, and he’s good at everything
Restaurant Styles
Added restaurant style system:
Styles can only be changed during the preparation phase.
In public lobbies, only the host can change styles.
Another 3 styles can be obtained during the game, and you can switch them in the M - Upgrade
New Loading Screens
Added 4 new loading screens themed around the helpers update
Customer Clothing
Regular customers now have new outfits and are copying the fashionable looks of your rats
Events
Added new riddle-based events:
While cooking, your food can now run away and give you a riddle.
An imp may show up and give you a riddle too. Sure, you can beat him up, but that’s not exactly the best business strategy for a successful restaurant in our neck of the woods.
Added delivery guy event:
He might bring extra stuff, fail to deliver the order, or just start doubting life.
You need to check the delivery and act honestly… or…
Talent
Added a new talent in the general tree During the card selection phase you can now reshuffle the deck once (in co-op the talent stacks), giving you access to a different set of cards
UI & Quality of Life
The hotbar now shows which exact box you’re carrying
Added new furniture - signs. You can write text on them!
Added a save warning notification
Shortened the duration of loading screens when entering the game
Added notification when a player leaves
Reworked the spoon rotation animation on the alchemy table - now it’s more physically accurate and satisfying
Fixes
Fixed a rare client-side visual bug related to the restaurant progress display
Fixed microphone sometimes turning off when returning to lobby
Fixed blackjack camera bug
Fixed an issue with drink orders that could occur when opening 20-slot barrels while skipping 10-slot barrels
Fixed various Steam invite issues
Fixed visual bug with escorted characters
Took measures against restaurant menu bugs
Fixed dirt spawning inside tables
Fixed rare interaction bugs
Fixed collision at restaurant entrance - interacting with stuff there is now much easier
Optimization
Heavily optimized auras and dirt - large amounts no longer tank FPS
Completely reworked and optimized all object interactions
Optimized entity collisions and interactions with them
Our programmer didn’t sleep for several nights, suffered through the entire New Year holidays.
Serious resource optimization was done: asset stripping, recursive dependency deduplication, mip-map optimization, LZMA compression, legacy cache invalidation, geometry decimation, aggressive normal quantization.Game size reduced from 24 GB to 7.5 GB with one button press.(Shhh, don’t tell anyone!)
VIP Guests
Updated boss-vampire lady behavior: she’s now even pickier and teleports away after every dish you serve her.
Fixed bug where she wouldn’t change her order after being served
