Another Hero’s Adventure
Of course, we know you’re all eager for news on our latest project. It’s been some time since we announced the spin-off, Another Hero's Adventure.
As long-time fans know, we love dropping big news during the Spring Festival, so let’s get straight to it: Another Hero’s Adventure is officially participating in the February Steam Next Fest! A brand-new demo will be available for everyone on February 24.
A Note on Language Support
Please note that the coming Next Fest Demo only supports Simplified and Traditional Chinese. However, we assure that the full official release will definitely include English support. We appreciate your patience as we work on the localization!
What’s New in the Demo?
To put it simply, we’ve rebuilt major parts from the ground up.
Visuals & UI Refinement
Based on your feedback regarding the UI, we decided to return to a design that feels more "wuxia". We’ve simplified the layout and functionality, such as adding an "All" tab to the inventory sub-categories, to ensure all information is clear at a glance.
[p align="center"]The Five Elements System in the Combat
We are constantly exploring ways to evolve our combat. The new version introduces the Five Elements (Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth) system to add strategic depth to turn-based encounters. Unlike "Xianxia" games where your attributes are fixed at birth, we believe martial artists are highly adaptable. Your attack attributes can be customized by combining your equipped weapons, Manuals, and martial arts.
Synergy: If your attributes match or complement each other, your moves deal significantly more damage.
Weakness: Hitting an enemy with a counter-attribute a certain number of times will put them in a Weakened State, allowing you to deal massive burst damage.
Flexibility: Internal Manuals can be swapped mid-battle, allowing you to pivot your strategy depending on the enemy you face.
The demo will feature 8 Manuals, 19 martial arts, and 15 weapons. The full version is expected to be ten times this size, offering endless possibilities for your builds.
[p align="center"]Formations and Positioning
Tactical positioning now matters more than ever. For instance, standard single-target moves cannot hit enemies "hidden" behind a front-row tank. There are many more tactical rules waiting for you to discover in the demo!
True Companionship in the Jianghu
You’ll find that combat in the new game relies much more on your allies. Companions with different martial arts can exploit the elemental weaknesses of various enemies.
Companions are not tools. In this world, the Jianghu is defined by the people you meet. Another Hero’s Adventure emphasizes the importance of companions in both story and exploration. The narrative will revolve around the key allies you encounter, not a purely aimless or passive open-world experience.
Companions also possess Special Traits. Once you build a deep bond, they will teach you their unique skills. This opens up new ways to interact with the world—for example, learning a companion’s "Disguise" skill might allow you to slip into restricted areas unnoticed.
