Hey all, Byte287 here:
The anniversary of Door Game Deluxe's release was a few days ago, February 6th. But I had a busy weekend (not a busy enough weekend for me to have entirely neglected this but that's the excuse I'm rolling with). I'd planned on making some kind of postmortem video, but it took me this long just to write a few short paragraphs so let's be realistic.
So yeah, we're a year into this and while the game didn't explode in popularity, it did do better than I thought it had any right to. Videos and reviews coming in (even some from people we didn't even know personally, which is insane) were really cool to see and kind of surreal.
I didn't have a ton I wanted to announce or say here (those anticipating Door Game 2: Unhinged Rage may be disappointed), but just acknowledging that, yeah, that's a thing that has now happened. Also vaguely an excuse to go "Hi everyone, I haven't used this feature before and wanted to try it out some way without working on the game again because how do I even continue this game's story."
I hope you all look back upon your 30-60 minutes spent playing this game with all the joy and nostalgia you would the birth of your firstborn.

"hey all, josiah paper mossed out papergum yoshigum rustyhingedev here. this game is a prison." - Paper
